RC and 2004

Featured Replies

Hello,I finally got RC to work with FS2004, so I am very thrilled with that. My next comment and question is this:Comment: There are delays in ATC now, whereas there wasn't with FS2002. When I choose an option, whether it be for Ground or Tower, etc, there is a longer pause until ATC responds(?) Is this normal or maybe I'm missing something.Question: Prior to going with FS2004 and RC, I was able to toggle the display screen (ADVDISP). Now I can't? Is this have something to do with full registration of FSUIP?Thank you,Paul

i'm not sure about the added delays, i didn't put anything in specifically like thatadvdisp is not licensed, so it has nothing to do with that. do you mean by toggle - hiding it and making it reappear, not sure. i always have it docked and visiblejd

I answered my own question about the display of the text screen...I purchased full registration to FSUISP yesterday and I am now able to toggle the display by a hot key. However, I am still having a problem with long delays after I choose an ATC option. It wasn't like that in 2002. When the voice is speaking, there is no delays or slo-mo, jst waiting for ATC to say something after I choose an option is what is annoying. Any suggestions? Also, I get a lot of cracking noises, more in RC with 2004 than RC with 2002??

what kind of sound card?you may need to add /realtime to the end of the command line in your shortcut. see if that helps. shouldn't need it, but.....jd

I have a Sound Blaster, which has been pretty good up to now(?)As to adding realtime to the command line, I have done it both ways, no difference. I am wondering if it has something to do with the video card being a FX with the beta driver that Microsoft had recommended for 2004(?).Paul

you never know what a beta is going to do :-)
