Windows XP Error

Featured Replies

I recently downloaded RC-3.1, since I have upgraded to FS-2004. When I attempt to start RC, I get the following error message:"Radar Contact Version 3.1 has encountered a problem and needs to close". I have forwarded this error to Microsoft (for whatever good that is). I tried setting the compatability to Windows 98, but I still get the error. Does anyone know what the problem is? Will I ever be able to run Radar Contact with Windows XP?Bob Sturm

Greetings,FWIW, I run RC 3.1 under XP with no problems at all. Have you tried reinstalling 3.1 after your XP upgrade?P

The computer came equipped with Windows XP, so the answer is yes, RC 3.1 was installed after XP.Bob

Did you remember to update your RCv3 shortcut and point it to rcv31.exe and remove the /high shortcut? Try redownloading RCv3.1 and reinstalling right on top of itself. You may have gotten a corrupted download the first time.

I did update the shorthcut and removed the /high. I tried that before posting my plea for help. I will try your suggestion to redownload RCv3.1

I just downloaded RCv3.1 again. I still get the same error when I attempt to run it.
