January 17, 200521 yr I like to fly the older birds with the analogue steam gauge panels but I have a question about airway navigation using RC3.1I use FSNavigator to plan my flights and I make note of the course I'm supposed to fly in between my waypoints (mostly VOR's). When airborne I'll fly with my CDI centered to the appropriate course heading but if pop up the FS GPS it actually shows me off the airway and consequently I usually get chewed out by ATC. One solution would be to fly the route coupled with the autopilot coupled to the GPS but that takes out the fun and challenge of flying with the steam gauges. I did a search and found this thread here http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...ing_type=searchI guess it still stands we should use many short distanced waypoints until version 4.0?
