March 7, 200521 yr Hi, I have been using RC for many years now and I love it! and never had any problems. I recently bought a new computer and updated FS2002 to FS9 and Win 98SE to XP. I updated everything for RC (RC 3.1, FSUIPC 3.44, wav files etc.)I usually run long flights so I use the copilot. I give her the comms after contacting ground and the plane usually after departure. She always asks for an altimeter check shortly after taking the plane. then I get the message that the altimeter is set wrong and push b but It won't change. The second problem is RC freezes after contacting aproach. I can't change the menu, or take back the comms or plane. I check task manager and it shows "not responding" I also do not get the full features of FUSIPC like I used to. Could this have an effect? None of these problems seem to matter which aircraft or airport I use.
March 7, 200521 yr Commercial Member what do you have the transition level set to? exactly, what is in the input box?if you don't have a registered copy of fsuipc, you don't get all the features. but rc does register itself with fsuipc, so it can use it. but that doesn't give you all the new features.3.47 is the current fsuipc versionjd JD Read my blog
March 8, 200521 yr Sierrasle,I've had RC3.1 freezing after being handed to approach and accessing FS9 menus for a long time now. We tried to get to the bottom of this a couple of times but no definite cause/solution was found. At least I am not aware of it. :) So I simply don't access the menus after being handed to approach... After ground takes over, all is OK again. For the record, I run RC3.1 on a separate computer via WideFS. FSUIPC and WideFS registered. I did a reinstall of RC3.1 after an upgrade of the machine and migration to WinXP. The freeze is still there. It's not much of an issue for me in any case. I believe it's something on my main FS machine and I also believe that it's not worth the hassle at this point. I'll happily wait for RC4. :)regards,Jure
