October 6, 200520 yr Hello All.I have searched the forum and read as much as I could find about the features of RC4 and what it will and will not do.I have not yet purchased RC primarily because I'm a big fan of hearing the interaction between ATC and AI aircraft. (I use Ultimate Traffic.)Understanding that RC4 will not interface with the AI, I'd like to ask a few questions, just to be sure that I'm understanding how RC4 works, which will help me make a purchasing decision.1. The AI aircraft will continue to operate as they do with the FS9 ATC. Basically, they'll takeoff, make one or two turns, then fly direct to their destination, at which point they'll be vectored to the FAF, fly the approach, and land. (I.e. - they won't fly DPs, STARs, or holds.) Right?2. The RC4 ATC doesn't really control the AI aircraft. Basically, the FS9 ATC is still silently working the AI aircraft in the background. So, when the AI aircraft makes a right turn to hdg 180, RC4 will "see" this and state "XYZ, turn right heading 180." Right?3. RC4 DOES control the AI aircraft at two points: makes the AI aircraft slow down when it's behind the user's aircraft on the approach and is going faster; and makes the AI aircraft go around, when it's ahead of the user's aircraft and going slower. Right?4. The only place I see RC4 falling short of FS9 ATC is with taxi instructions. RC4 will just say "Taxi to runway XX" or "Taxi to the ramp"; Where as FS9 ATC gives a specific taxiway route. Correct?5. Will we still hear all the actual ATC calls to the AI aircraft and will it be the RC4 voice or simply the FS9 ATC? For example, if there is an AI aircraft 5 miles ahead of me on the ILS, will I hear him receive his clearance to land?6. With RC4, can I still have the radio frequencies tuned automatically? I'm just fearful that without this feature, the workload on a single pilot flying a 737, ATR, or 767 will be too much to handle. Thanks everyone, looking forward to reading some feedback.James

So, when the AI aircraft makes a>right turn to hdg 180, RC4 will "see" this and state "XYZ,>turn right heading 180." Right?we're not going to that level of granularity. it's possible to do, but who would spend the time to watch trafficlook and watch what each ai are doing, and then see if v4 is voicing those instructions. that would be an even heavier burden on processing that what is currently being done. with that being said, v4 will see a plane wake up and go into clearance mode. you will hear the v4 clearance controller read a clearance to the ai. v4 will see the plane starting to pushback, and you will hear the ai pilot ask for push and start, and you will hear the v4 controller grant it. you will hear the ai ask for taxi instructions, and you will hear the v4 ground controller tell him to taxi to runway nn. and on and on and on.....>>3. With RC4, can I still have the radio frequencies tuned>automatically? I'm just fearful that without this feature,>the workload on a single pilot flying a 737, ATR, or 767 will>be too much to handle.yes, you can turn the comms over to the v4 co-pilot, that's one extreme. you can also select pilot auto-reply, which means you just have to listen. you can also select "ack and contact" if you choose to answer the controllers instructions, which means you don't have to tune the radios. or the other extreme, you have to manually tune in the comms, and manually answer the clearance. there are a couple of beta testers that are that extreme>>>Thanks everyone, looking forward to reading some feedback.>>>James JD Read my blog
