Problems Loading RC V4

Featured Replies

The installation of RC V4 seemed to go without a hitch. However, when I attempt to load the product to access the registration page I get an error message, to wit: "The feature you are trying to use (Simple AT111.msi)is on a network resource that is unavailable." I also get a message that suggests that I search my system for the file/folder containing Simple AI111.msi. Did such a search and no such file was found.Thru a series of "Cancels" and "OKs" on pop-up screens I'm able to get to the RC V4 registration page where I was able to cut and paste my key number from your e-mail. After doing that and pressing the button below the key entry, the hourglass icon spins for a few seconds and the RC graphics page disappears and I am returned to the desktop.Obviously I need the file/folder "Simple AI111.msi" to properly run/install RC V4. Question, where do I obtain same? Thanks for your assistance.

i know of no such AT111.msi file. has nothing to do with RC.have you scanned for viruses?jd

I have recently scanned for viruses - none detected via Norton. The missing file is "AI" not "AT." The file is called "Simple AI" and from Google searches, files of this type apparently have something to do with artifical intelligence. Whatever the file is, it's absence is apparently preventing me from loading RC V4.

has anyone else seen or heard what this "Simple AI" is about? this user can't use RC because it keeps wanting to load this program.any help would be appreciatedjd

Hi,the only thing similar I can find is a program called SimpleAI which appears to be unsupported now but can be downloaded from http://www.simple-ai.com. The.msi bit refers to the windows installer. When you extract the file, it extracts as simpleai.msi not the normal .exe file. I can't see why your system would be asking for this file unless you have somehow downloaded it in the past. It appears to be some type of program for adding AI flights to FS2004. You could try downloading and installing it I suppose, then running the rc4 install again, see if that cures your problems. Not sure if this helps or muddies the water a bit more:-) Steve
