I was departing from CYYZ and RC cleared me onto runway when there was an aircraft landing and it was very close if I entered the runway it would have flown right over me as I would position myself (so it was very close on final), I saw it so I just waited till it landed and then did my thing. Doesn't sound right...Not sure if this problem was touched before or not.

do you have any add on scenery? did you rebuild the rc database after installing rc, or after installing scenery?jd

it is Simflyers CYYZ,... no i do not believe I rebuild the scenery database for RC after installing it, just installed it and chose the update option for it to look for updates, I will give it a try and see.Only happened once so I wasn't gonna whine on it, but I will try to rebuild the RC database and if it happens again will let you know.Andy

Funny thing is that CYYZ is the one airport I have had troubles with.Flown all over the midwest, but only on leaving Toronto did I get stuck. In my case 5 planes lined up in front of me, a lot of landing traffic. One of them cleared to hold short and sits there.... and never goes. Eventually the FS engine kills it, upon which the next plane sits and sits...I just also upgraded to MyTraffic2006 which of course does a whole lot with the runways and airports, so am going to check the airport itself tonight and make sure its not messed up.It sure is fun, with no ground control, and 10 aircraft all heading towards the same runway, makes me move quick to get a spot. Of course thats a small thing, I am in love with this product, cant seem to stop flying since i got it.-Jonathan

Here are a few things to help with take-off queue problems:Install AI Smooth V1.12. http://www.sg-flightware.de/. You can use this to place approaching AI on holding and separate them more according to parameters you set for landing separation. This lets more AI take-off do to the increased spacing between landing aircraft.Use AFCAD 2.21 to insure there is a "normal" node very close to the "hold short" node, and the hold-short radius encloses the center-line of the runway.Look in the library here for Ken Salter's FS Configurator. Among its functions you can speed up in FS9 taxiing AI so they clear the runway faster making the landing runway movement more efficient.
