Do I need to install the this 4.01 update because it seems the version that came on my CD is 4.03675?(By the way no one told me that this update was available; what do you have to do to be part of the inner circle and get informed of updates? the "inner circle" is the google group, which you were invited to join when you got your key. this is where i sent the notification of it's availability and the download link.4.01 is build 4.0.3737there are few changes, that you probably want to take advantage ofif you didn't get a google invite, or didn't accept the invitation, contact [email protected] and he'll send you a new invitejd

Well I guess I'm used to other forums that(sensibly IMHO) serve both functions. I'm sure you mean well but I avoid joining things like the google group, unfortunate that it seems to be a requirement to keep up to speed on RC4 matters.Bruceb

let me try to clear this upgoogle group membership allows you to find out things, download things, learn about new things, before everyone else.it's easier to send an email to the google group, and let it be distributed to thousands of people than to try to reach others, that may not have access to avsim, or care to get their information via other methods.what is your concern about the google group?jd
