russian chatter for RC 3?

Featured Replies

Hi,as I am performing several long haul flights from Germany to the Far East, I wonder if there are some russian ore even chinese chatter files available. It would add a great bit of realism if one wouldn

high altitude ore super whould be enought...

Andreas,Canned chatter from around the world is being phased out of RC in the upcoming versions as the interaction with AI is becoming more prominent. Otherwise you'll hear canned chatter landing on RWY36 and pressue QNH1009, when you and all the AI are landing on another runway and the pressue is really 1017. Also as RC grows in size, the massive amount of disk space allocated purely for canned chatter comes under question. As for Russian & Chinese chatter, these are very difficult to get hold of. Different countries have different laws about radio scanning and I wouldn't want to find out the hard way that recording chatter in China or Russia was illegal ;o)Subs

thanks for your reply. Actually I am not glad that you are removing real world ATC from the upcoming versions. It really adds much realism on a flight from Atlanta to London to start with American chatter, continuing with Gander Oceanic and Shanwick Oceanic and then going over to listen to a British controller. i doubt that's going to happen. i can only control the autopilot if it's based on the ms autopilot.the co-pilot can control the commsand who needs a co-pilot to fly the plane? :-)jd

in fact, I wondered wether the co-pilot whould still be able to take the communications. I would never like to leave aicraft control to a virtual co-pilot :) :)regards
