December 26, 200619 yr JD,You mentioned that an earlier problem with FSUIPC (landing gear up/missed approach) caused a hold up in the RC4.3 release date. You had to wait for that to be fixed first. What is the relationship between MSFSX, FSUIPC version 4x, Radar Contact 4.3 and a missed approach procedure that caused a problem RC4.3? December 26, 200619 yr Commercial Member fsx, via simconnect, was reporting the gear up, on an aircraft that has fixed gearspete has corrected that error in fsuipcthe relationship between them all is:fsx <-> simconnect <-> fsuipc 4.x <-> rc v4.3jd JD Read my blog
December 26, 200619 yr Author Hi,Having the "gear up" on landing.Would that cause a problem with RC4.3 program? In other words, is RC monitoring the Up/Down state of the landing gear at anytime? Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 26, 200619 yr Commercial Member well, yesif you are on final, and your gears are up, you're going to get a go aroundtry it sometime :-)jd JD Read my blog
December 26, 200619 yr Author jd,Thanks for the follow up.I have never done it (gear not down) so I was clueless here.I thought (mistake here) that it was not an RC command that could initiate a go-around, rather, an RC menu item that "could be" selected by the pilot to put RC in the go-around software routine.Nice safety feature, never have to worry about not having the gear down!Best Regards, Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
December 26, 200619 yr Commercial Member go arounds are tower initiated (deer on the runway, gear down, etc)missed approaches are pilot initiatedjd JD Read my blog
December 26, 200619 yr Author jd,Yes, that is why I said (mistake here). At the time I wrote the reply I was putting to much thought into the RC menu items available while on an approach. Just proves once again what a wonderful job RC does to enhance the total flight experience! Best Regards, Vaughan Martell PP-ASEL KDTW
