January 8, 200719 yr Hi!I have a problem getting started with Radar Contact... I usually fly PMDG Niklas Eriksson
January 8, 200719 yr See this thread on the PMDG forum:http://forums.avsim.net/dcboard.php?az=sho...6&page=2#126364There is no FS9 .pln format export from the PMDG .rte and .rt2 formats, at least that I've found. Most people use a third party planner that exports in both formats for the FMC and FS9 (for RC). Then in the FMC you would load it as a company route. The other options are:1. Create a plan in the planner of your choice, export it to FS9, and manually enter the same waypoints in the FMC.2. Take the info from your FMC RTE pages and enter that into an FS9 planner for exporting as an FS9 plan.
January 9, 200719 yr I use FSBuild (Payware) flight planner. RC4 and FSBuild seem to compliment each other incredibly well. Windows 10 (x64) - X-Plane 11 - M/B: Asus ROG Maximus IX Hero - CPU: i7 7700k (@5.0GHz) - RAM: 32Gb Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 @ 3200MHz - Video: GTX1080ti - Cooling: Custom water loop (EK 140 Revo D5 pump/res combo, EK EVO CPU block, EK XE360 Rad)
January 9, 200719 yr What Dougal means is that FSB, as well as some others, have SIDs and STARs in their database. These can be exported into FS9 plans as way points and into your FMC import as waypoints. By doing this and importing this plan as a company route into your FMC both RC and your FMC will have the same route including the SID and STAR.Be aware that by default RC may use only part of your SID or STAR joining the SID further out and leaving your STAR before all of its waypoints are used. There are options available to exclusively fly all of a STAR by declaring an IAP and doing your own navigation. A similar option is available for a SID. These let you use your SID or STAR in your PMDG FMC database. For default operations, it is imperative that waypoints do match.I use FSB 2.3.FSB does have a NATS feature but I have never used it. You could also get a flightplan from a real flight beginning or ending in an FAA airport at www.flightaware.com and paste it in FSB's route field and it should build OK with minimal changes usually in a SID or STAR name.
