January 10, 200719 yr I use FSNavigator in FS( and like it because it will put in SID/STAR points into the flightplan. Unfortunately, FSX isn;t compatible with FSNav. Is there a place where I can download flightplans with SID/STAR that will work well with RC and FSX?TurnipSystem Specs:Motherboard = P5-GL-MXP4 3.0SB LiveATI Radeon X800 GTO (256) Overclocked to 550 Core / 525 Mem2 Gb Geil PC3200 Dual Channel RAM
January 10, 200719 yr Until FS NAV is upgraded, if that is in their future, consider running it in FS9 until you have saved a flight plan. Then copy it from your FS9 personal plan folder to your FSX plan folder.RC 4.3 still uses the .pln format so it should function with your FSX RC session. I don't know if the aircraft models you use will function with the .pln format for purposes of navigation with autopilot nav and nav display gauges in the aircraft.
January 10, 200719 yr Commercial Member why can't you use fsnavigator (i don't have it, so i'm just theorizing) to create your .pln file. use that .pln file with rc, and use it when you load the .pln into fsx.i'm sure fsx will read old style (non xml) and new style (xml) .pln filesjd JD Read my blog
January 10, 200719 yr I never thought of building one in FS9 then trying to use it inFSX. I'll give it a shot and report back.TurnipSystem Specs:Motherboard = P5-GL-MXP4 3.0SB LiveATI Radeon X800 GTO (256) Overclocked to 550 Core / 525 Mem2 Gb Geil PC3200 Dual Channel RAM
January 11, 200719 yr This does work. I just transfered my FS9 plans into the FSX FILES directory. An easy work around until FSNav for FSX is released.TurnipSystem Specs:Motherboard = P5-GL-MXP4 3.0SB LiveATI Radeon X800 GTO (256) Overclocked to 550 Core / 525 Mem2 Gb Geil PC3200 Dual Channel RAM
