AI ATC Airline/Aircraft info.....

Featured Replies

Where does RC pick up the airline and aircraft info from on the AI planes? We had a discussion last week I think about Pan Am jets being called 'Air Force' and this does seem to be the case. Today, though, I flew a Pan Am L-1011 from KJFK to LOWW and was ID'd as 'Pan Am' the whole way. Maybe if I change the ATC_airline to 'Clipper' in stead of Pan Am?

there is a program included with fsuipc called traffic look. if you run it, it will display all the ai in the air and on the ground. the call sign i use, is what is displayed in trafficlookjd

I know and that's why I brought it up now because my own Pan Am jet is properly identified but the AI Pan Am's are not. I'll see what Traffic Look says.

Check out the the aircraft.cfg for atcid (or something similar - I am not where I can read those now)lines in your AI models and compare it to your own that works. The only line for using the model that identifies it to the traffic.bgl files is the Title= which must not be changed. Each AI model may have several sections with unique textures and atc identification. You can try changing the atc_id (keep a safe copy of aircraft.cfg) to match your own that works and then use traffic look to see if it had an effect.
