Featured Replies

Why is that after taking off with a flight plan loaded into FS9 via FS Navigator, after abour 10 minutes or so I am told by ATC I am off course and they instruct me to fly the other way. I bring in the flight plan a less than a minute after take off to take advantage of the SID I have loaded into the flt plan. I must be doing something wrong, can I be put right please??

you have to pass within 2 miles of any checkpoint inside 30 miles of the departure airport, if there is a checkpoint inside 30 miles of the airport.what does your .pln look like? post it here?if fsnavigator is flying your plane, it may not be coming close enoughjd

JD...herewith flt plan. I was not using FS Nav I was flying the plan within FS9. Hope this is what you require. considering the sid you have in your plan, i'd say you missed a checkpoint during departure.jd

Well..... carried out the flt plan to the letter today, got as far as Potiers VOR and was told I was off course [or something like that] and fly 300 degrees which was approx. the opposite way I was flying. However, I ignored the instruction and after a few miles another controller gave me further instructions as if nothing was amiss!!!!....All to no avail as it was, because I crashed on landing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 So should I re install???

Some things to check:In the status line of the RC window, has the next waypoint popped up as you cross the current one? In options, you can also enable a "ding" sound as you get credit. If you are handling communications, make sure no outstanding acknowledgments are present (7) before you pass the waypoint. Things can get busy and this is easily overlooked.I do not think you require an install but make sure you have the current build of the 4.2 (FS8, 9) or 4.3 (FSX) as indicated in the pinned topics.

reinstalling will not fix your problem. maybe try a flight plan without a departure procedure.better yet, why not fly the tutorials, until you get the hang of rcjd

JD, yes will do that then, thanks.

Ronzie...thanks for input I will try a few tutorials and see what happens.
