May 19, 200719 yr Hi, just tried RC for the first time and while sitting at the gate at KSAN, I was able to contact clearance Del and get my Clearance, once I replyed to Clearance Delivery it "automatically" it automatically called ground and asked for taxi clearance when I was not even pushed out of the gate nor ready to contact ground for the moment. Is there a reason RC automatically called ground for me even when I have autoreply turned off?Another issue Im getting is no option to get my pushback clearance. All I have when RC loads in FS is Contact Clearance or Weather Breif. Dont I need to contact ground for pushback before taxi? Thanks,Bill Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)

June 3, 200719 yr Hello Bill,Do you mind telling me how did you do to sort out this problem?.The same is happening to me, I've just listened to ATIS then when I want to request pushback and start RC "jumps" directly giving me indications for taxi and hold short of XX runway. Thanks for your help.RegardsCarlos ZegarraGCLP
June 3, 200719 yr Remember that RC serves small airports as well where the order might be different.First, optionally get weather - ATIS.Next get your CD and then acknowledge, do NOT use acknowledge and contact if you want to push back or you'll go right to ground for taxi as I recall. ATC will state read back correct. After that an option for pushback will appear. If you require that go ahead and request it. In response do not ack and contact but just ack again. When your pushback is complete and you are ready to taxi then contact ground. After ATC responds just ack again, not ack and contact, or you'll go right to tower for takeoff clearance. The only place I ack and contact in one step is for basically controller changes within flight phases. This version of RC is for controlled airspace/IFR only so getting a CD and acking it is required for the pushback option to show. With small aircraft it may not be necessary to require a pushback or start clearance at some locations so that is optional. You can go when you are ready to contact ground for taxi skipping the pushback/start request. The next version, many months away, will have better ground procedures including taking aircraft size/type into consideration as well as FAA and non-FAA variances in procedures.
June 3, 200719 yr Hello Ron,Thank very much for your advice. So that was it just "Acknowledge".I need to review all these steps carefully before I try into VATSIM in "normal" mode not "observer" or "stealth". RC4 is helping very much getting to know the ATC communication. I
