June 5, 200718 yr Help please ? im trying to take my first flight with Rc but am having a problem interacting with the Adv display. All software is loaded (including Fsuipc), flight plans in place, display shows my first instructions but nothing happens when I press the required keys. What have I omitted to do ? neil clan
June 6, 200718 yr Commercial Member first, delete advdisplay.dll from the modules directory, and let fsuipc do the displaynone of the keys work?you see the menus, right?what version of fs? what version of fsuipc?what version of rc?what os?follow the directions pinned at the top of the forum to produce a .log, and press some keys, and send me the .log JD Read my blog
June 6, 200718 yr Try opening up the keyboard menu under the options section of the main page. Look at the assignments to correlate to the menu numbers. Note especially any "meta" keys (CTRL, SHIFT) added to your defined keypress. Make sure the assignments do not conflict with any other add-ons or FS that are looking for those same keypresses.SAVE the assignments to insure they are written to the RC configuration., then close RC.Start FS, load a flight with a default aircraft, load RC, start the DEBUG, load a plan, and then click the start button. Look at your aircraft and try getting weather or something from the RC menu to see if your keypresses are active now.I suggest a default aircraft because some complex add-ons may use conflicting hot-keys.
June 6, 200718 yr before I follow your advice does it help clarify things any further by telling you I am getting the following message: Run-time error 75 RadarContact.fsuip.rc4code thanks neil clan
June 7, 200718 yr Answer the questions about versions in the above message from j.d.Are you running over WideFS by any chance? (WideFS is the payware program that allows you to run other applications as a client of the FS host PC.)
June 7, 200718 yr Commercial Member just a guessclick the .flt/.wx button, enter the proper path to where fs stores the .flt and .wx filesmake sure you have read/write privileges to that pathjd JD Read my blog
