Help JDMy rc sort of freezes when it goes to find the flight plan file--keeps going back and forth between open file and file not found--and--the program will not close so that I can reboot it---I need to shut down the computer to close the program--also normal close will not work for computer because rc is still open---must hold the reset button to close the computerWhat do I do?

you can always open task manager, and kill the rcv4.exe process. no need to take such drastic actionwhat is the .pln you're trying to open? can you send it to me?jd

ok thanks jd--the .PLN is from fsbuild it was KSFO-KLAX.PLN---but I threw it away when rc was going to a folder where only this plan would display---fsbuild would say that it had sent another plan to that folder but rc would only see the sfo/lax pln

I am uninstalling thr rcv4.3 and doing a reinstall--will send for a key and see if the program starts working again

JDI am getting frustrated--I uninstalled and then reinstalled--I got a new key--that took three attempts before it took and the program opened---when I tried to open a flight plan the program once again locked itself in a cycle of going back and forth between two windows and could only be closed by using the task master.I did --or am doing another install--will the key you sent yesterday still work or do I need a new one--I wanted to do another download but it seems that I need to re-purchase to do thatHelp

why do you think reinstalling and installing is going to make any difference. it's going to be the same bitssend me the .pln you are trying to loadmake sure you have the .flt/.wx path setif this is vista, make sure you are running as administratorjd
