August 24, 200718 yr I just recently received the CD version of RC v4.3.3845. I also received my registration key and intalled everything according to the user manual.I also updated FSUIPC per the manual. I was never able to find any FSUIPC update instructions, so I just deleted the copy in my FS9 directory and installed the latest version from Peter Dawson's website.I now have the following problems:1) RC crashes and I receive the following message "Run Time Error 76" and some verbage about FSUIPC errors.2) The user manual shows the main menu with an icon entitled "CHECK FOR UPDATES". My main RC menu does not have that icon. How am I to check for updates?Any help would be appreciated.

August 25, 200718 yr Author Yes, the .flt/.wx button was clicked and the flt plan loaded from FS9.I use Active Sky 6.5 and was flying the Aeroworx King Air 200 if that makes any difference.Thanks.
August 25, 200718 yr Commercial Member follow the directions at the top of the forum on how to make a .logsend me the .log file, zipped, after you duplicate the problemjd JD Read my blog
August 25, 200718 yr Make sure you placed the correct version of fsuipc.dll (3.x for FS9, 4.x for FSX) in your modules folder under your version of FS after installing RC but not running it yet.In your modules folder is a file called fsuipc.log that you can read with notepad for any clues if RC fails to run correctly giving you fsuipc errors.
August 25, 200718 yr Author I installed FSUIPC ver. 3.75 in my FS9 modules folder.I will work on creating a debug log.BTW - how do you update RC if the "Update" option has been removed from ver. 4.3?Tks.
August 25, 200718 yr Commercial Member the update will announced here.updates don't happen very often. only 3 in 2 years, one because of fsx :-)jd JD Read my blog
August 25, 200718 yr Commercial Member it wasn't fsuipc, it was the .flt/.wx path being empty, as i suspectedjd JD Read my blog
August 25, 200718 yr Author Question - If my flight plan, cruise altitude and current weather appear in the flt pln box, the CD controller tells me I am cleared to my destination airport (KDCA) and the ATIS gives me the actual wx from Active Sky...then how can the ".flt/.wx path" be the problem? If RC knows my flt pln and wx, how did it get it?
August 25, 200718 yr Commercial Member the .flt and .wx path has nothing to do with activesky or where the .pln file isthat is the directory where the .flt, .wx and .rcd files are stored when your autosave kicks inyou know you're running autosave, right?everytime you save a .flt, fs saves a .flt file, a .wx file, and rc detects that you save a .flt, and saves a .rcd filewithout know the path (the path you define when you click the button), you get an errorjd JD Read my blog
