September 17, 200718 yr I`ve started to use FSnavigator to export flightplans to PMDG`s 737ng and to FS9.Then load FSRC f/p from FS9 and then use PMDG`s 737 FMC to fly the aircraft.I`ve just started flying with a VA using EPireps and so,as i`m not loading an actual F/P into FS9,i`m wondering will this affect the EPirep in anyway?.I`m posting here only because i`ll have problems using RC if the above question is yes.ThanksPaul C.
September 17, 200718 yr Commercial Member rc doesn't care if you load the .pln into fs9 or not.jd JD Read my blog
September 17, 200718 yr Sorry, should have rephrased it better. If i load a fp in RC it puts my aircraft at a gate or ramp if needed,great...but if i load a FSnav or Build2 fp in FS9 then it always puts my aircraft on the runway.Since VA`S flights start at a gate then there`s a problem if Epirep needs a loaded fp in FS9.Paul C.
September 18, 200718 yr RC does not control the position of your plane where it is parked except as following. You must position your aircraft at the correct place before starting RC. If you have the wrong airport or the coordinates are severely off in the FP RC loads from where your aircraft is sitting in the scenery, it determines you are at the wrong location (i.e. wrong airport) and will move your aircraft to the active runway for the airport in your FP.Be sure you have done a scenery rebuild in RC to insure RC's data is in sync with your FS scenery.
September 19, 200718 yr Hi, I`m not explaining things very well am i heh, i`ll rephrase that sentence."...but if i load a FSnav or Build2 fp in FS9 then FS9 always puts my aircraft on the runway".It`s FS9,me or something else that`s causing it...not RC.RC works great and i love it,it`s helping my flying no end and am grateful to you for programming such excellent software.Software like yours and others make a good simulation into a great one and i am well pleased with my purchase. Now if only you could make a version run on Vatsim that answers controllers.Safe flyingPaul C.
September 20, 200718 yr FS should place your aircraft at the gate you "drove" the aircraft to when you saved the flight file. When you recall that file, that is where your aircraft should be, along with the aircraft condition/state, weather, time of day, date, season as it was when you saved the flight. If you are creating a flight from scratch, I assume you are picking a parking spot when you select the airport from the dropdown list which selects the active runway, listed runways, and parking spots. That's where your aircraft should remain when you load a flight plan assuming the plan starts at the same airport. In FS2002 there was a problem in loading an FP that had to do with the GPS. As I recall, maybe incorrectly, it could move you to the starting position in the FP including to the wrong airport or to the active runway. I seem to recall a feature in the freeware full version of FSUIPC version 2.x for FS2002 an option that prevented the FP from moving your aircraft when the GPS was included in the panel.EPIREP appears to be a reporting system that reads the state of the aircraft position and other data such as time, etc. It by description is not a controlling device so it should not have any effect. Here is a tip you can try:Create a flight with a clear weather theme, an default aircraft such as the Lear or King Air parked at a gate, set your favorite date and time, etc. Shut down the aircraft to a cold and dark state of at least engines off and probably the battery too. Do not load a flight plan nor have any autopilot engagement. Make sure you are not in slew mode. Then save this as your default flight in the save flights dialog window by checking the box. In FS9 this flight intializes the FS system even if you only go to the opening menus. When you create a flight the aircraft of your choice will be in most cases cold and dark where ever you place it.Some aircraft models require a simple aircraft preferably cold and dark to be loaded first and this will do it automatically. See if this helps at all.Since this is not a specific RC issue I suggest you place this on the appropriate general forum where you might get additional views and more assistance because of the wider audience.Glad you find RC to your taste.
September 20, 200718 yr Worked a treat and it got rid of an error message loading up FS9.Thanks loads...appreciated.Paul C.
