Samsoft WSSS and RC4

Featured Replies

I've been using RC4 for over 1 1/2 year now and I'm pretty happy of it.I just seem to have problem using RC4 with Samsoft's WSSS scenery (Scenery was rebuilded several times, each time I install/modify a scenery; it usually works OK for all areas, except this one). RC4 seems lost there, gives erratic vectors (such as an intercept vector when abeam the field, in the middle of downwind and nowhere near a suitable turning point) and, if asking a full ILS approach, will completely "forget" me, never handing off to tower and just giving traffic advisories even on the ground.Anyone having similar nuisances ?Tks for any advice.Enrico

In addition to the latest MakeRunways, you'll also need to make a small adjustment to the WSSS afcad bgl file. You will probably find the magnetic variation set for the airport in the afcad bgl is way too high - around 149

help me understand, is this a scenery error, that needs to be fixed by the author?i'm not aware of anywhere on the plane that has a magnetic variation of 149 degrees.jd

I just sent you em jd.Subs

Thank you for your help, will try to correct the wrond mag var (strange that a payware product could have such a big error !). And, JD, I do have the latest makerwys. Tks.

Occationally we do find afcads that aren't "standard". And that throws RC out.Garbage in, garbage out ;o)Subs
