Side Step Approaches

Featured Replies

I never spent much time with the default ATC in FS9. However, from my research, despite it's shortcomings, it sounds like the default ATC in FS9 might occasionally give instructions for a side step approach.I've never gotten such an instruction from RC4 and I'm wondering if there is such a thing within the program or some way to replicate...uh...without FAA jumping on my tail after landing, that is?Thank you.Ed Lin, D.O.S.

How common are side step approaches in the real world anyway??Golli.

My friend is a IRL pilot who says it depends on a lot of factors but they happen. I googled sidestep maneuvers and came up with alot of info.
