I just got RC4, snd it sounds like a great program, but the pilot and controler takes forever to speak... I gave up after hearing the clearence... "Scandinavian.......1.......9........4.........5.......cleared.........to......eco.........n........victor........alfa"Is there any way I can speed it up, or just correct the fault? Because I don't have the patience to listen for 5 minutes just to get the clearence;)

First, you will probably have poor performance if you are running a motherboard sound system. You would be better off running an inexpensive separate sound card (which has its own processor) which would render audio relatively independent of your CPU loading. FS is very CPU intensive which can slow sound processes down.Try setting with DXDIAG.exe or other DX driver manipulation to the audio speed to basic.Do the same on the voices screen of RC.Setting the speeds to slow will allow the phrasing to assemble better before delivering to the sound system giving you a smoother flow.

Make sure the sliders on the voices page are all the way to the left.i think you have them set to the right.if they are to the left, can you give some hardware specs, and generate a log (instructions pinned at the top of the forum), and zip it and send it to me.jd

Were is the sliders? I open the RC4, and go to voices, but there are only the different voices i can choose from

you're probably running 4.0, 4.01 fixed the speed, and added the sliders, 4.2 was then released with a couple of bug fixes, and a couple of new voices. then 4.3 was released for fsxsend me an email, and i'll send you the link for 4.3 downloadjd
