during what phase of flight?once you are told to resume own navigation, you're supposed to know where you're flyingduring departure, if a departure procedure is enabled, the departure controller is not going to tell you where to flyduring approach, if you have chosen an iap approach, you are expected to know how to fly the approach as it is illustrated on the approach plateif there is no approach controller, center is only going to point you at the field, he's not going to vector you to finalhope this helps. have you flown the tutorials in the manual?jd

Hi JDI flew from EHRD to EGGP ( I only fly in Europe) for my first RC4 flight : without SIDS and STARS.BTW : nice program !At no stage of the flight the controller called a heading.(I only saw the heading on the screen.)Anyway I will now fly your Tutorial Flight LFML-LSGG tonight and will come back on the subject. For your info I have full hardware B737NG cockpit (except communication pedestal) with complete set of PM software.Kind regardsTony

RC audio plays through your normal Windows sound system, not via FS. Make sure your wav and master audios are up and fed into your headsets if you use them.I am not familiar with PM cockpits but I suspect the RC autotune comms option may not work. Your radios must be on the correct frequency. If so probably the RC virtual co-pilot can not handle comms for you.I think someone with PM interfacing needs to chime in here.

Hi,I can hear all RC audio thru the headset allright, except the heading was never called by controller.RC is running on a separate PC in a LAN setup. The comms are still autotuned (this is a PM ini. setting, necesssary because I have no pedestal hardware) but after I installed and started using RC, I have to set the transponder manually .This can be done via the CDU NAV page.As far as I noticed during my initial RC flight the rest of my set worked as before. However I will fly the test flight to check heading calls again.Kind regards

paste the .pln, let's look at it.did departure tower tell you to fly runway heading, or any heading? if he didn't, then you have a departure procedurejd

Here's the file, JD.Did not hear any runway heading call or got any heading call at all.I did not fly sid/star during my first RC "testflight".

hsd is 26 miles from the departure airport, which makes this flight a departure procedure planthat is why tower doesn't give you a heading, and either does departure. with a departure procedure, you're suppose to fly it as filedjd

understood JD.Meantime completed flight LFML-LSGG W I T H "heading" calls from controller indeed. Great !Got into a bit of a problem when Geneva approach called ..."heading 015, maintain 7000 until established..." , because with that heading I would never pick up ILS or even end up in line with runway 05.Maybe I missed something ... will have another go at it next time. Thanks for your support. Kind regards
