Look at your aircraft panel cfg and see if the rxp gauge is using the older gauge or the newer one. The newer one should be rxpGNS the older one is Realityxp_Fl530xp.gau. Make you're using the correct one.
Also do you use FS panel studio? Where you can manually edit your AC panel gauges yourself.

Thanks loads:
I will give this a try tomorrow morning. I sure didn't want to repurchase the same thing I had, but your precedure looks like a solution.
Thanks again.

The latest version is 1.6

I am having trouble finding an option for a manual download of the latest upgrade at RXP. Every where I try is linked back to the aurotmatic download and installation provisions which I have already activated and updated. I will keep looking though.
Thanks BigMack:
RTH
There is no update option on the page. You have to click on the purchase link and download the new rxp installer.exe start the installer then you'll see the option to reinstall.

I have'nt dealt with Abacas in many years. But I do know Flt 1 makes a simular landmark program called FSDiscover. Works well in win7 64 and comes with 30 days $$ back refund if you don't like.
-
I run the RXP 530 in fs9 under win7 x64. It's works fine. I would recommend going to the reality xp site and redownloading the latest version of the 530 waas for FS9.
If I remember I had simular issues when I tried to use a older version of the waas

What I've done is:
1. Set up the options as per the Megascenery instructions - terrain textures 20% etc.
2. Placed the sceneries outside FS9 which in turn is on its own dedicated drive and is NOT in "programs."
As always, different systems give different results but since I did this, as long as my FPS is set to unlimited, I don't get blurries.
Of course, now I've said this "in print" I'll have the blurries for weeks! LOL Or maybe it's because I celebrated Independence Day a bit too much and the blurries are all in my eyeballs!
Cheers
Ian
LOL I have all my photo sceneries setup on separate also
-
How do you do that? I have FSX.
In FSX you should not have any problem with blurries. FSX loads the photo textures differently than FS9. More efficiently and faster. In FSX I have SoCal and NY areas of Mega scenery. I have PNW from Orbx also. When flying the heavies at faster speeds I get no blurries.
-
By following the guides I mentioned above, I seem to have eliminated blurries. The only time it happens now is if I forget to set the FPS to unlimited. Give it a try - you might be very pleased with the results. There is an Aerosoft or FSDT or Fly Tampa airport for all the Megascenery areas except Atlanta and Phoenix, so being able to use the surrounding photoscenery with these outstanding airports gives you a really immersive experience.
I did try the MegaScenery for FS9 again, I still get some blurries. However I use the Hawaii and the Denver and Dallas city sceneries and they work fine.
-
I own a bunch of Mega sceneries for FS9. I ended up removing them after awhile because of the blurries. If you are a low and slow flier, then Mega sceerny for FS9 is great. But if you do high and heavy flyer stick with GEX and UT.
FSX handles photo scenery alot better than FS9 as far as how tile loading.

Hang in there. Take it one step at a time.
First install KPDX to the ficticious fs9. Then remove all the files and then apply the fix.
Then I removed:
- All: pdx-field (7)
- All: pdx-ground (19)
- Pdx-dirtsrwyCv2
- Pdx-dirtsrwyEv2
- Pdx-dirtsrwyWv2
Then follow the second set of instructions #43 by Chris. This is where you will remove the rest of the files and create the additional scenery folder.
I'm at a lost here. In #43 what files are being removed? I added and extra scenery folder with the orbx files. But are we to remove more files from the flightzone02 scenery folder?
-
I tried the proposed fix. I still have the same bleed thru issue sitting at rwy 28. Maybe if someone can translate or be more precise on what needs to get done to make this work.
-
No. I you will not see any performance increase, FS9 is cpu bound app. It will run fine on 2 GB memory. However you will see a performace boost running Win 7 using 8 GB over 4 GB's. The 4 gig patch addresses only virtual memory that reduces the OOM erors that comes with FS9. It has nothing to do with physical on board memory.

Theres the one I use. you have to download it from flightSim.com, And get Lee Bromton updated afcad. You should be good to go
-
I own the CS 757 also. I don't think I've been ripped off, but I'm glad I got it for 9.99 sale. I fly it sometimes and find it very eye pleasing, but disappointing system wise. It does have bugs, which some you can find user fixes by searching their forum. Also the flight dynamics are not very accurate. CS refuses to listen to, or correct some legitimate complaints. So they most likely lost me as customer, like few other developers.
I would never pay for a partial release expecting better updated blocks releases from CS. While their models look good, their systems and flight dynamics are light. So you customers who pay your money to CS don't complain when you don't get the type of 777 your expecting. It's business as usual with them.
But I do like the C130.

Thanks for the suggestions. The scenery was the Madiera, Portugal one that was released a few days ago. It was a bit odd, in that the installation instruction included disabling a couple of the bgl files in the Africa scenery folder. (Madiera is an island well south of Portugal, 600 miles from Lisbon, off the African coast.)
The scenery did not come with an AFCAD file, so I took the default one and moved stuff around.
When I realized where this island was, I decided I'd probably never fly there anyway. I'm not much for long, straight flights over the ocean, so it won't cause me any pain if I have to disable this one.
Get the aerosoft scenery for that Island. It will work out much better for you.

I also experianced this problem. I turned out to be a bad afcad i installed. You said you install some scenery and afcads, try remove them and see if things return to normal
-
I would like a copy of the gauge link please. Thank you in advance.
Have a great day

On the subject of KDCA from TropicalSim, it has been a solid performer on my rig, getting FPS that are actually a little better than the default version.
That's great. Question for you, is the DCA scenery better than the older cloud 9 version?
Does it have Crosswind rwy's? I might give it a go.
-
Plus since theres no refund policy I dont want to get stuck with something I wont use due to FPS problems like I did with a recent purchase of Anchorage X that doesn't perform well on my rig, or a lot of other peoples from what I have read.
That's very strange. you have a slightly more powerful system than I do. But I can run Anchorage X with NGX fairly well in FS9 and FSX. Using GEX and UTXAlaska. My FPS average in low teens at some parts of airport, but all is still fliud and no slide show.

Somehow youer resgisty got screwed up. Reinstall FS9 from the CD and then uninstall either from CD or control panel. Then reboot.
-
Have any of these issues been reported on the feel there forum so they can get address??
-
I stand corrected, it seems that feelthere did release the FS9 evo 2D panel.
-
You need to recheck your scorce. Feelthere is only publishing the FS9 panel. All support issues need to go thru Wilco. According to Vic on their support forum.Just to clarify - this FS9 2D Panel upgrade is from Feelthere, and is NOT the Evolution upgrade from Wilco, which is for FSX only. It upgrades the panel bitmaps and the gauges. It does not upgrade the model or the VC (other than to use the new gauges). It provides both normal and widescreen options and analog/digital option for engine instruments. I like it as it is a significant visual improvement, but there seems to be something awry with LNAV function at the moment. -
I 'm curious also. I may want to buy, but I don't have any of the Wilco Evolution upgrades installed. I learned years ago to never purchase from Wilco (and many others) when they first release a product. I can wait to see if they fix the reported problems or just pretent they don't exsist. I can then make a decesion on wheither or not I want to purchase. Thanks for the info. Be curious to see if Egbert gets a solution to the LNAV issue.
Modules folder?
in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
Posted
You can create a modules folder in the FSX root folder easily and place all your required dll links in that folder. Fsx will work just fine.
