Manitoba Mesh problems
Hi Justin,With the CDED, the decim value is important. With my Nunavut mesh, this was important to respect the elev units. Here is an example of the result when I change the ScaleInMeterd to 1 (m) to (0.1) decim.http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/61212.jpgThis example is localized in Manitoba.Salut Gilles

New Canadian elevation data!
Hi Holger,I have made the northern Quebec, but in the Baie James region (in north-west) all the lakes are sunken and in northeastern region, all the lakes are raised. I have not uploaded it because it's not nice to fly. And too much work to correct. For the Baffin Island, i don't think of doing this territory.SalutGilles

New Canadian elevation data!
Hi Holger,The joined picture compares elevations of the same territory with new Canadian Digital Elevation Data (3 sec/arc) and SRTM-3.The SRTM-3 source gives best results. But there is a good source to correct, with MIcrodem, the missing elevation in SRTM-3.SalutGilleshttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/49298.jpg

Microdem Bug
If there is no sea level data, you can correct the lines with 0 meters like thatData manipulation-> Edit -> Missing data to specified z -> 0followed by Edit -> Fill dem holes
-
Microdem Bug
I have the same problem and I have resolved it with the Data manipulation->Edit->Fill DEM holes function. Attention ! These holes can also be in border. I have resolve this other problem in merging the adjacent DEMs, filling DEM holes and extracting (subset function) data set covering the wanted region.

WGS84 projection
In Creating Terrain and Land Classification (FS2002SDK), "all source data is expected to use WGS84 projection". Is it necessary to use this projection to create terrain with digital elevation data ?
