  1. Chris You are right, it happened after the installation of a new aircraft. Fortunately only the B737 panel is concerned.. What puzzles me is the fact that yesterday afternoon, all was back and normal but in the evening the IAS, HDG, ALT and V/S displays were not functioning again
  2. The plot really thickens... and that sucks! I played this afternoon and the info was back in the IAS, HDG, ALT and VS so I was a happy pilot... But tonight they disappeared again  Interesting dilemma, any thought will be appreciated!
  3. Yes they are both in FSX/Gauges
  4. Hello I hope someone can help me since I have never seen this during 6 years using FSX :( In the stock B727 (Boeing livery N737W), there are on top of the 2D panel 5 rectangular horizontal displays for Course, IAS/Mach, Heading, Altitude and Vertical Speed Since I installed new planes, I can now only see the figures in the Course selector, but the other four displays are.. empty! So here is my question for the experts : short of reinstalling FSX, is there a way that I could find in one of the 2 disks the stock B737 panel missing gauges? I thank you in advance for advices J-Louis, 18 miles east of KIAD
  5. Ouppps.... No wonder I did not have autopilot , radio and GPS...I forgot to put the Avionics switch on :( End of storyMerry Xmas you allJ-Louis
  6. Well well... the plot thickens....Just for checking, I installed FS9.1 on my other PC (where FSX is) and everything including autopilot and radios work perfectly.I have Windows 7 Professional on my laptop and Windows 7 Home on my tower PCIs Windows7 Professional not compatible with FS9?Thanks for your inputJ-Louis
  7. I just installed FS9.1 on my brand new laptop with Windows 7 ProAutopilot does not work and when opening the radio, there is no info regarding frequencies.Anybody has the same issue? ThanksJ-Louis
  8. I just received a friendly email from Fermin Fernandez, software developer for TeakFS. He was really surprised by what happened, tried to help me and assured me that, and I quote "These ATC flights are ABL scripts, totally innocuous as they are just TEXT files that run under FSX, they do not modify FSX in any way!". Not being a computer language expert, I have no reason to dispute what Fermin says. I was maybe too quick to assume that the installation of the TweakFS free file was the cause of my subsequent immediate FSX trouble... My apologies to TweakFS. Since there must be a reason why FSX suddenly stopped recognizing it was activated for the past 8 months, I guess I'll have to interview the MS people to ask them how come FSX can revert to its "demo state" just like that! And more importantly how come not anyone can access this infamous "Activation window" short of reinstalling the whole FSX program!!JLB
  9. Yes I uninstalled it and I am sadly reporting that I am still stuck with my new unexpected new FSX Demo:( Oh well I'll call Microsoft tomorrow to see if they can reactivate..JLB
  10. Go to https://www.tweakfs.com/store/ and the first icon you see is "ATC Flights". The exact name of the file is "Paris Orly RNWY 26 Approach". The website clearly says that this file does not need any add-on and can be used as a stand alone.JLB
  11. Following AVSIM announcement of the history of FS on Marcus site, I went there a least 20 times today between 9am and 9pm eastern time with no success and the following statement:"The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to the site owner reaching his/her bandwidth limit. Please try again later"Is Marcus site down?J-Louis
  12. Problem fixed by reinstalling Direct X. ThanksJ-L
  13. HiI had to reinstall FS2004. Did an uninstall then a complete install. When starting I see the opening window with the DC 3 then after 10 seconds, the program quits. My card is an NVidia with the latest driver. Any help will be welcome. ThanksJ-Louis
  14. Hello Distinguished Panel Designers Thanks to your effort and talent, we can d/l many superb new panels for FS9. A lot among you decided to offer your panels with the engines off. I do not have any problem going through the engine start procedure when I am on the ground. However here is my problem: I have a couple of saved final approach flights to practice my landing :-)These flights are in spot view, and I cannot switch to the panel view because the engines stop as soon as I see the panel . Is there a command somewhere (panel.cfg or else) that I could change to be sure that the engines keep running when I access the panel view?I sure hate to see my engines quitting at 500 feet! Thanks for your input J-Louis, 18 miles NE of KIAD
  15. Joe:Thanks a million for your very clear and thorough explanation. I downloaded it and enjoy it a lot. Thanks to people like you, FS 2004 is getting more and more pleasant to use everyday. My very best regardsJ-Louis
