  7. Hi Bob...currently I use 1 12 switch rotary but it can't differ between decimal and integer...i.e. you either go up or down depending which way you trun. Today I start to make the new switch set up which uses 2x12 position switches - 1 for decimal and 1 for integer. Tuomas had shown me where the tutorial is ..its on www.opencockpits.com ...go to the tutorial section...thanks and I will let you know how it goes..I have (6) to make so my Saturday will be busy...all the best...JB

  10. Hi All...I am using built in LEDS's to my AP momentary switches.I have flashed and all the LEDS work when I do the test. How do I set the LEDS in FSRouter to come on when I push my AP switches on/off...I have tried adding the AP feature in the LED destination box..but can't get the LED to come on...I'm sure I am doing something wrong ? If you have any suggestions I would be grateful...many thanks...JB
  11. Tuomas..here's the answers to your questions:1) is it (x) Active ?Yes2) is it (x) Up Event or (x) Down event, you need either or both.I have it set to Up event like you said3) is up/down value something that is not the same for both?Everything is set like each other..4) does the test button work on the toolbar? The test button does not work on the toolbar but it works on key test matrixHope this helps...thanks...JB
  12. Hi...will these pulse switches allow you to change integers by turning one way and then change decimals going the other way. I am using FSBUS and and currently I can only turn the decimals up or down or integers up or down ?Many thanks...JB
  13. Hi Tuomas/Bob...thanks to your great help I have managed to set-up my momentary switches for the A/P functions...most seem to work fine now however, I still can't get a few to work. Here's the problem:1) Switches all set-up with correct SID's RID's etc. Key test confirms they are working2) On the switches that are working you can see the switch setting change to 0 or 1 when pushed in the switch set-up area.3) The switches that don't work do not change the little dot from yellow to green...just stays black4) I check the SID/RID matrix and the setting is changing to 1 or 0Its funny that some are recognized but others not...Any advice help ? any thanks...JB
  14. Hi All...I'm having a great weekend setting up my FSBUS and with everyone's help I have been slowly solkving the problems. I now have some new ones:1) My NAV/COM radios will only work if the multiplier in my rotary switch set up is set to 1. I try 25 and it locks it at 135.00 frequency setting and my rotary won't chnage anything ?My rotary set up for COM 2 is:Min 118000Max 135000Loop on overun (Unchecked)Multiplier = 1 (Only work when this is 1 ???)Offset = 1CID 4Active XLead Zero (Unchecked)Destination (FS.Stndard.com22) I am using momnetary push button switches for my A/P functions. They are the type if you press you close the switch and it opens when you let go. For some reason when I press the A/P the A/P feature goes on and off...never stays on with one press...when I press again it goes ON/OFF. I have tried setting up the switch as a toggle3) When I press the A/P switch my pitch wheel in FS goes beserk ?4) I have added some toggles to activate lights, engine starts etc. The problem I have is I have to cycle the toggle at least once before it activates the fature in FS the second time.Any thoughts comments would be really helpful...many thanks...JB
  15. Hi All..many thanks for your help on previous thread. I now have a different problem. I have attached my rotaries for radios etc. They worked fine last week and when I rotated switch the new frequency would appear on LED display. Yesterday I added some toggle switches for my lights, engine starts etc. I also added some momentary switches for A/P.Now for some reason the rotaries do not display the frequencies when I rotate the switch ? Also the momentary switch doesn't activate the A/P features in FS. They all test well in Key test section of router. The new toggle events I programmed work OK.Any ideas or thoughts ?Many thanks...JB
  16. Hi All...I have hooked up all my switches to FSKey in FSBUS and they are all working great. I am building a King Air and some of the switches are for autofeather, battery on/off, prop sync etc. When I try and program these with Router Ver 2.06...I can't seem to find the FS destination. When I look in what is there it seems to bea lot of jet stuff and PM stuff.ANyone have any ideas how I can add the specific turboprop events to the FS destination area in router ?many thanks...JB
  17. Hi everyone...Does anyone know of a good sourec to get say 0.5"x0.5" ON/OFF push buttons with LEDS in ? I bout some from Mouser but they turned out to be momentary (my goof). I have checked Mouser brochure and the ones which look good are all discontinued. I need them for my A/P for my king air panel....Regards...JB
  18. Hi Tuomas...Happy New Year to you. You seem to know how to wire 12 position switches to FSBUS. I have tried to get my 12 position switches to work on my FSBUS I am stuck. Here is what I have done:1) I am using 12 pos rotary switches (not rotary encoders) for Com 1/2, Nav 1/2, ADF and ATC2) I have wired the switches just like the FSBUS manual tells you to with the jumpers3) I now have to set them up in the Router. I am using the latest Router from FSBUS site. I have read the English FSBUS manual over and over but can't seem to figure out how to program a 12 pos switch with RID's, SID's etc.Could you explain how to program the switch correcly ? Also any other tips for wiring the 12 pos switch to work would be helpfulMany thanks for your help...JB
  19. Thanks Brad and Glen...I now have frequencies showing and it looks great. However still have a few issues if you can help:1)How do I get the radio stack to display all numbers on first start up ? Do I have to have the Router running in background ?2) ALso to get the numbers to display on each start, I keep having to click on one of the radios CID's to get #'s showing. Is there a way of setting it up so I can just start FS tuen each radio on and the frequency be displayed3) My first digit on NAV1 is not ligting up...get 10.30 instead of 110.30 ?4) My transponder shows 1800 when in FS its says 1200 and in the router it says 1200. I can get it to go to 1200 by clicking on FS transponderMany thanks for your help and best Xmas wishes to you and your families...Jonathan
  20. Hi All..some more basic questions from me...sorry, but we're getting there. I'm still trying to set my FSBUS FSDisp up to read my NAV/COMs for my King Air. The problems I have are:1) The 7 segment displays for COM2 and NAV2 (only 2 I'm setting up so far to make sure I do this right) are reading NAV1 and ADF frequencies ????. I have set each with a different CID and each with their correct FS source in the selection box...I think..FLASHED with this set-up. (I'm using latest FSBUS 2.0.8). Should I be selecting other options in the set-up boxes ?2) Rotary switches - I am trying to set up a test 12 position switch just like FSBUS manual....but..have no clue how to set up. I've wired the switch like the manual says...assigned a CID...but can't figure out what to do next...RIDs, PIDS..etc..Help please ?Can anyone help me in this joyous season ? If you do I'm sure Santa will remember you've been good...Thanks and Merry Christmas...JB
  21. Hi all..I have had my FSBUS cards made up by Cadum and now I am trying to program them for FSDISP and FSKEY actions. I'm having a heck of a time trying to get the FSDISP to work properly. I am using the latest Router software form FSBUS site. The method I am using for each display is:1) Configure each 7 segment FSDISP PCB...assign a CID to each one. I have (7) 7 segment displays2) Assign where the device is going to look in FS (little box on lower right side)3) Go to FLASH menu...flash each controller (Do i do this each time for each 7 segment display controller with a PIC on the board ?)4) Return jumpers to normal mode5)After I have configured it all I get is a bunch of " - ". The only way I can get numbers to show is by clicking the right CID number in the router software.6) Also when I exit Router it won't let me save FSBUS latest config...Is this normal ?7) I also tried to program a 12 position switch. Do I have too specify RID's, CIDS etc...eeekk!I've read the FSBUS manuals...and I'll be honest it challenges my capability but I'm determined to succeed.Any thoughts or help will be most appreciated in this festive season...many thanks...JB
  22. Hi All...I am now trying to source rotaries to make the audio features on my panel work...things like Speaker volume, DME 1 and 2, Outer marker etc.Could someone tell me what kind of rotary switch/dial I need to smoothly increase volume from an initial off position...just like car radio but a switch that FSBus would recognize and then FS2004 would recognize to turn the PC volume up ?Many thanks...JB
  23. Hi all..I have another dummy electrical questions. I have to buy some more switches and they all reference being SPST or SPDT or DPDT. What does this mean ? I need simply switches that are on/off, rotary 12 position etc. So what should I pick ? SPST or SPDT or DPDT..Any help would be greatly appreciated....thanks alot...JB
  24. Hi Roger...I just posted the same question and then I saw your question...my PC is not refreshing properly so didn't see your question. You mentioned you used 12 position switches and this seems easiest wayCan you tell me where you got them from and how to wire to FSkey..I am challenged when it comes to switches etc...Thanks...JB
