  1. Sorry, I have no previous programming experience at all, so please bear with me for one more question that you have answered:After downloading the CodeBlocks IDE with MINGW compiler, will I need to download everything under the MinGW Sources part of the download page?

  2. I know you mentioned the compilers in your previous posts. This time, what I mean was specific complilers, like GCC that you mentioned which answered that question. But you said many compilers come in suites, is this the case of GCC? And then when I install the IDE, it will automatically intigrate with the GCC program/compiler?

  3. I'm still not getting quite all of this compiling, binary, CVS stuff. I haven't had time to read the documents, but I will have time over the weekend, perhaps I will understand it better then. Thanks for your help though. :D

  4. Sorry I have not been here for a few days. What I mean about the OV-10 Bronco thing is this: They say they've made modifications to FlightGear to better suit the OV-10. Where would I download this modification? In the CVS thing you are reffering to?And what I mean by other mods would be like revisions to something big, not neccesarily aircraft. Or would I be better off installing major modifications into their own FlightGear folder?

  5. Another question. Projects like the OV-10 Bronco have links on the FlightGear page, and yet when you try to search their page, you can't find their modified version of FlightGear to integrate with the rest of your FlightGear sim. How can I find these modified versions? Or are they just not available for download? Can other mods, be it one you've made, or one you've found, be integrated into the base FG without screwing up other mods or features?

  6. Thanks guys! Your help has been most appreciated. The GPL license is not a problem, as I figure other people could probably make my original work better. :)As I have no C++ or XML skills, or anything of the sort, I've found some great documents on getting started with this on the FlightGear website. However, are there other ones, perhaps more general ones you guys suggest looking at? I am interested in helping improve and develop FlightGear and would most appreciate any tutorials or links you may have on programing these sort of things.Thanks. :)

  7. I am new to Flightgear and would like to know a few things:Are their other sites that host more aircraft, such as A340s, 737-800s, etc? What programs can be used to create aircraft, scenery, etc? What kind of features can be implemented on aircraft? Thanks for the help.

  8. Yeah, I just real a tutorial on Calclassic that got me to use the polygonal lasso tool and the y was good after a little bit of adding and erasing. I even went to the Aerial font and compared it to my y and it came very close. So, I guess I ended up getting my own technique. Would this knid of thing go the same for really complex handpainting like handpainting a Virgin tail (with that really funky Virgin font), or complicated fuselage designs (like ANZ LOTR)? I would assume they would, correct?

  9. Hello, I'm new to painting. I've already had one release, the SGA SAS NC MD-81 at the library, and I am working on number 2. Snowflake MD-82 is what I'm working on and I need some help handpainting a textures. I am trying to paint the "Y" that is in teh Flysnowflake.com titles on the forward fuselage. I can't seem to find a logo that has the "Y" on it so I have to handpaint it. I am getting very frustrated and was hoping a more experienced painter could help me out.I'm using Photoshop and I've tried the pencil tool (which doesn't look good at all because it doesn't fade at the edges of the letters) and the pen tool, which looked better, but I can't seem to get it to make the correct shape.Do I just keep working with it? Do I use the eraser in conjuction? What do I do?Anyone who can help, I'd appreciate it a lot. If you also have any tips or tricks for handpainting textures that are much more complicated, I'd be happy to read those too. Thanks in advance.

  10. But the POSKY 767 does not have the detailed landing gear that IFDG's does, I believe that the POSKY 767 nose gear may be a little in accurate, those other two round thins don't look like they are really there, it looks like it is supposed to be like a box, as on the IFDG, Albert, which nose gear is correct? And the POSKY 767 does NOT have spoilerons. Someone please let me know if it is supposed to have ailerons or not. Answers to all of these questions would be appreciated, thanks.

  11. I've actually got two questions. Which 767 model is more accurate, the IFDG 767 or the POSKY 767? I'm only talking in terms of everything except for the the fact that POSKY's doesn't have any doors, I'm talking about everything else. I noticed that the IFDG's gear is more detailed, but POSKY has a varity of annteneas. And POSKY's leading edge slats move slowly, and IFDG's move fast, which is more accurate? Which is better to get? And could I use the POSKY FDEs on the POSKY 767s if the IFDG 767s are better overall?
