yes and if you want hear the ATIS you have to compile:approaches,approach legs,transitions,missed approach legs.In my case it worked.

hi to all,isn't easier to go in your folder Comp and drag and drop your .xml file over the bglcomp.exe?

before I created the .xml file with Approaches and bla..bla..bla the ATC was clearing me to visual approach even with zero visibility!I tried it.If you compile the right .xml file the ATC will work properly like other default airport and approaches.

The AI traffic is cleared to ILS and makes the ILS exactly like me and sometimes causes my go around.

hi,as you know Hong Kong Kaitak is closed within FS2004 and I reopened it recreating all IFR approaches by the bglcomp.I can say step by step wath I found and consequently made.1)by AFCAD of Lee Swordy I reopened runways,taxiways,parking gates.Inserted a Tower point of view and after this assigned Comm frequencies.The ATC with a tower started to work.2)I inserted by the v.2.21 all navaids:ILSs only because all other navaids are already existing within FS2004.I found in the AFCAD help that into all MOD files it's also a file which disables the Stock and enables the MOD files. So when you start FS9 only the MOD files will work.At this point the ATIS was still announcing VISUAL approach for the runway in use,because the approaches were missing and AFCAD cannot create it.By the BGLCOMP SDK I made a separate .xml file with:IAF waypoints,approaches,approach legs,transitions,missed approach legs.Copied it into FS9/scenery/Asia/scenery everything now is working properly.If you compile only the approaches the ATIS will stop working.

So Theta is the radial of a VOR not the bearing to go to.Thanks

What are Theta and Rho parameters involved in the approaches.Microsoft in the bglcomp content doesn't provide any explanation.Thanks

by the AFCAD did you insert the Tower view point?Otherwise the ATC doesn't work.G.Franco

Anybody has an approach leg example to show me.I have no idea how the approach leg should be compiled since the BGLCOMP content doesn't explain clearly how a SID/STAR may be converted in XLM file.Thanks

Hi,as you know the famous Hong Kong Kaitak has been closed.Within FS9 it still existing under the name Hong Kong Int'l(old).Now in the real life and in fs9 also its runway,taxiways and parkings are closed,it doesn't have Tower ,Comm frequencies,navaids,ATC and traffic.My bet is to return Kaitak within fs9 alive again.By Lee Swordy AFCAD 2.21 I was be able to reopen the Tower, runways,taxiways,parkings,toreassign Comm frequencies and to restore all navaids.Without approaches the ATC doesn't recognize the working navaids and clears by ATIS,Approach and tower only to visual approach.AFCAD2 doesn't have yet the capability to insert approaches and I'm trying to compile, by xml bglcomp compiler,an Approach file to have the ATC clearence to ILS approach.After this introduction my questions are:1)Check please my attached Approach.xml file.2)Being the MS default .bgl file of Hong Kong Int'l(old)without navaids how can I refer this Approach.xml file to the AF2 file generated by AFCAD.Thanks G.Franco

I downloaded and installed FSXML4 now I don't know how&where I can generate and save a source file .XML.Please explain me it step by step this is the first time I try to attemp to generate a XML document.ThanksG.Franco
