Aircraft repositioned after starting rc4
Hello jd,After our emails, I did some more testing lately. I still encounter this problem. But a side effect is when I use rc4 on the client pc and the repositioning occures and I reposition the plane again where it was before and then continue the flight without stopping rc, FSX always crashes after a while with an error (in module: unknown). I first moved all the programs I use on the client pc to the fs pc to see if it would still happen. But when all programs are running on the same pc everything is working ok, without CTD's. I'm running ASX with a combination of AGX/FEX, some programs I have written myself like ShowText for the rc output, a pushback utility etc. Normally I use Project Magenta or Sim Avionics software on a client but for these tests I did not use them. I did about 20 flight without any problem when running rc4 on the FSX pc and when I run rc4 on the client pc, repositioning and CTD again. For now I will run rc4 on the FSX pc and all the other programs on a client, so I still can enjoy rc4.I also updated to the latest drivers for the mobo chipset, Forceware for the 8800GTX card, bios etc.Rob Boeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hi Jim,Yes they are, I double checked. But I must say I tried it the last few evenings and it worked ok. But I must say that the weather is completely different. When I encountered these problems it was really cloudy but with the latest tests it was mostly clear and visibility was ok as well with calm to moderate winds.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Aircraft repositioned after starting rc4
Hello Adrian,That would make sence but I installed rc4 on the FSX pc now as well and when I load the same flightplan there the plane isn't repositioned. And when I run rc4 from the client and stop rc4 after it has repositioned the plane, reload the situation in FSX with 'ctrl ;', restart rc4 (let wideclient running), load the same flightplan again, click the run button again, the plane stays where it is. But when I stop and restart wideclient as well it is repositioned again. So it is really weird.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hello Jim,But that doesn't explain the fact that it is working ok when I'm using ASX on the same pc as FSX (also together with FEX). The stange layers only occure when I'm running ASX on a client, so there must be a difference.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hi,I was celebrating to early, the problem became a lot less but still occures. Besides this problem FSX gives me lot of CTD's when I'm using ASX in random dll's. So I decided to install ASX on the same pc as FSX, now everything is working fine. Made 2 test flights without any problems. The CTD's are gone and the strange layers as well.Could this be a simconnect problem? The AI traffic program is working ok. When running ASX from the client pc most of the time ASX is updating the weather ok for the first time before FSX crashes, but when I leave ASX running it crashes FSX after a short while. When I close ASX after it has updated the weather FSX runs ok. FSX also runs ok without starting ASX.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Aircraft repositioned after starting rc4
Hi jd/ron,I checked the specified paths and the generated MakeRwys files and they are updated ok.I also have the airplane parked at a gate at the departure airport. In my test case this is EHAM gate D28. I don't use an other afcad file used the default. For ai traffic I use 'Ultimate traffic 2007 for FSX'. I also checked on an other airport EHBK parked at G1 and the same result, as soon as I start rc4 the plane is moved to a different location on the same airfield (which is the departure field in the flight plan). I use vroute.info premium to generate the flightplans but I also tried it with the FSX planner.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Aircraft repositioned after starting rc4
Hi jd,I rebuild the scenery database again but still the same problem.Strange thing is that when I stop rc4 after this happens and leavewideclient running and start rc4 again and load the flight and run, the plane stays where it is. Besides this issue I got lot of problems with FSX, it constantly crashes to the desktop, may be an other reinstall is the best option.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Aircraft repositioned after starting rc4
Hi,I got a very strange problem. I use rc4 via a widefs setup. When I start rc4 and load a flight plan everything ok. But when I start rc then my plane is repositioned somewhere on the airport and is also half sunk into its position, FSX is also paused. When I stop rc4 and reset the situation in FSX and try it again the plane stays where it is. This happens only the first time after I started WideClient. I checked and double checked the versions of fsuipc and wideclient but they are ok. Any idea what this could be? Boeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hi Jim,What I did where the following steps:- loaded an situation in FSX- cleared all the weather with fsuipc- checked the weather in FSX, there still was an unlimited visibility layer, so I removed it.- then I started ASX on the client pc- after the weather loaded there where 2 visibility layers again. So for the test I always make sure that the weather is cleared completely and then let ASX load the weather, I don't add anything myself. I only changed the setting to see when those thin layers would go away.I found out when I change the 'Maximum Upper Visibility' setting in ASX to 200 the thin layers are gone and everything is looking good.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hi Jim,That setting didn't made any difference. So I tried the another approach. I let ASX generate the weather. I got one cloud layer: cumulus, base at 2800, tops at 12800. I got 2 visibility entries onefor 0 to 6801 with 30 miles and one from 6801 to 98664 with unlimited.I then removed the cloud layer, still those thin layers. Then I removedthe unlimited visibility entry and voila those strange thin layerswhere gone. I tried it again without removing the cloud layer and everything looks ok. but as soon ASX is updating the thin layers are back.RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hi Jim,I took some screen shots and here is the result:Picture 1Shows the airplane on the runway, weather was generated by ASX.http://home.hccnet.nl/r.v.d.wiele/forum/Test1.jpgPicture 2After I wrote down all the settings from the weather dialog in FSX, I closed ASX, cleard all the weather via FSUIPC and then entered that weather manually. No more thin cloud layers.http://home.hccnet.nl/r.v.d.wiele/forum/Test2.jpgPicture 3During flight just under one of those thin cloud layers.http://home.hccnet.nl/r.v.d.wiele/forum/Test3.jpgPicture 4Just after passing through one, after passing it doesn't show anymore.http://home.hccnet.nl/r.v.d.wiele/forum/Test4.jpgPicture 5Then after a short period an other one pops up out of nowhere.http://home.hccnet.nl/r.v.d.wiele/forum/Test5.jpgHope this info is of any use for you. Thanks, RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Strange thin cloud layer
Hi,I'm using ASX together with FEX, ASX is running on a client pc. When ASX generates the weather I got these thin cloud layers (probably stratus or cirrus clouds). They really spoil the whole cloud experience. When I open the weather dialog in FSX I see only cumulus cloud layers. When I clear all the weather and then enter these cloud layers by hand I don't get these thin layers. I got SkyScape settings off.Rob van der Wiele Boeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

ASX won't start after SP3
Hello Damian,I did a little more testing, re-installed ASX again but now I installed SP2 and it works ok. Then I installed SP3 again and it gives me the error again. Then I looked at the shares and security permissions on my FSX pc (runs Vista Ultimate 64bits). I have a user (with admin rights) with the same userid/password there as my client pc. But this wasn't enough anymore after SP3. I had to change the permissions under the security tab as well. Either give the user group modify rights or what I have done now is add the user I use for the share permissions and give that user all rights on that share. Now it starts again. Thanks for your quick reply, RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

ASX won't start after SP3
Hello,I checked the firewall settings (using the xp firewall on my client pc) no entry found. So added XEngine.exe. No luck, still the same. Checked my shares in the registry and they are ok. I then de-installed ASX and installed again. Started ASX without any SP and it worked ok again. Weather was updated in FSX. Installed SP3 again, same error again. Rob

ASX won't start after SP3
Hello,I'm running ASX in a client configuration. After installing SP3, ASXwon't start any more. I receive the following error:Unhandled exception has occured in your application..... This happens during the 'Loading modules' phase. The Details info in the dialog is shown below. This configuration was working ok before the SP3 installation. I'm running FSX with SP2 and the SDK updated to SP2 also. But it seems that the installation file of the simconnect client is still the SP1a version. Simconnect is still working (tested with AI-traffic program).RobSee the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box.************** Exception CD Cover
Hello,I just purchased the bundle last night. Didn't had the chance to install it yet, but I have a small question. Is it possible to share the bitmap for the cd cover? So I can make a nice cd for the downloaded program.I'm a long time user of your previous versions and looking forward using the new version, keep up the good work you are doing.Best, Rob van der WieleBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/

Weird problem
Hello Jim,I couldn't select AS in the tool anymore. I also de-installed navigraph and manually removed any traces to both programs from the registry. Then I installed AS from scratch, checked if it was working ok. Installed navigraph and everything is working as it should again, I hope it stay like that. Thanks for your support, the ASv65_Update_B536 update is working great for me (with multi ini files).Best, Rob

Weird problem
Hello Jim,Thanks for the link but a reinstall with this file didn't help. The installer for Navigraph is started 3 time now before ASV6 is started. I will try again this evening. I will de-install both programs first and see what happens then. Something is really meshed up.Thanks again, RobBoeing Cockpit Projecthttp://members.chello.nl/~r.vanderwiele/
