  1. @Ron & Bill: Thank you very much for the fast update, indeed. It works fine and looks like a charm, I am much looking forward to flying this bird. I regret that some people were concerned about us only moaning and not even saying thank you, but I am living "german time" here and went to bed after my last post yesterday. So, Ron, you were right with "let the sleeping dogs snore..." Furthermore I had a very long working day today (until 2am local time), but I was really delighted learning about this update tonight. This was absolutely a fast response. Thank you again. With best regards,Torsten P.S. Doing the reinstall, the desktop link to the docs didn't work again, it points to "c:program files (x86)/..." On a german system, it should be "c:programme/" However, the files itself did install correctly to the right location, so it's no big deal.
  2. ok, thanks for the fast reply: 1.) I got the following mail yesterday after my registration: Your account is currently inactive and will need to be approved by anadministrator before you can log in. Another email will be sent when thishas occured.Your password has been securely stored in our database and cannot beretrieved. In the event that it is forgotten, you will be able to reset itusing the email address associated with your account.Thank you for registering.--ALL new registrations will be Manually Activated by support adminstratortherefore a "Username" MUST be included in all emails regarding Activation. Our contact email is support@eaglesoftdg.comThanks, The Management It never appeared to me that I had to send an additional email to the support. (What a complicated procedure to gain access to the support forum) I thought, the activation process would follow automatically. Therefore I waited for the mail confirming the activation as described in the first paragraph. I thought, the last paragraph would apply only if there are any problems regarding the activation that make a support contact necessary. However, I will send a mail to support requesting an activation, but I still think this is a much too complicated way to get access to the support forum and maybe this process and the necessity to send a mail on top of the registration should be stated much clearer 2. Not true. Believe me: I DID use the standard FS9 Folder and the link DIDN'T work. Maybe the installer cannot handle my german Windows XP? F.e. the folder "program files" is called "programme" on a german system. Nevertheless, this really is a minor minor issue, and needs not to be discussed furthermore in my opinion, I only hope, everything else is "in position". As I stated above, I did find the docs, so there is no problem there. 3. Regarding the paintkit: Good to know, since it is stated on the "Features" page and I could neither locate it online nor in the package on my computer. 4. So there really is no 4:3 panel at this time. Maybe this should be stated on the product page since it is a showstopper for me. Can you give a time estimate for the "next update"? My problem is, that flight1 has this 30 day deadline for refunds and I would like to have a plane that I can use until then. 5. Concerning missing gauges: this may be my problem not checking correctly. Since I was pretty annoyed about the WS-panel, I didn't go into it very deeply. So I will wait for the 4:3 panel. I would be really glad to use this aircraft, good bizjets are very rare, so I hope this will be fixed. With kind regards, Torsten
  3. It seems I am getting a bad start on this addon: First of all, I am not able to go to the support forum, I tried to register yesterday, but it has to be manually approved and nothing happened until now. I absolutely understand, that measures against spamming have to be taken, but especially shortly after the release of a new product, I would expect an activation at least within 24h. So I do not know, if my issues are being addressed at the support forum, nevertheless I'll try my luck here. I have the following problems: 1. The installer installed a link to the documentation on the desktop that does not work, it points somewhere where nothing is found. The installation told the docs would be in the c:eaglesoft folder, but there are only the installation folders. This is a minor issue, since I was able to locate the docs whithin the FS9/Eaglesoft folder, but this should be fixed. 2. The paintkit that should be part of the package is nowhere to be found. 3. This is the real showstopper: There was only a widescreen panel installed. This looks absolutely ridiculous on my 4:3 screen. I looked in the panel folder, but I cannot find anything like an alternative panel cfg., alternative bmp etc. I neither find an configuration utility that does the trick. So I am a bit surprised, since so far I never witnessed a plane w/o 4:3 panel. If anybody knows a solution, any help would be appreciated. 4. There seem to be some gauges missing (esp. the panel swith icons), so I am not sure if the installation works correctly. (This may also be the problem with the ws-panel) Any help would most welcome, Torsten
  4. Hi,I am not able to change the arrival airport in flight. The page where the airports are entered is not accessible in flight, the route pages don't seem to allow any AP changes. On the legs page, I can delete anything, but the arrival rwy/AP, so I can enter an alternative route, but the destination AP is still there after a discontinuity and can not be changed.Furthermore, I am not able to program anything into RTE 2, I always get the message "program error" in the bottom line, when I try to enter any waypoints. In the FMC manual I only find infos on changing the route (like bypassing some WP), not changing the destination.Since there must be some way to change the arrival airport in flight: how do I do it?Any help would be highly appreciated.Torsten
  5. Hi simmers,I am not able to delete a route in the FMC on the RTE page.F. e. if I mistype a route ( J502 to SEA when I actually want J502 to YZT or J523 to xy) there seems to be no way to get rid of the mistyped entry. When I try the delete function, I always get "INVALID DELETE", I tried to delety the waypoint or the Airway: neither works. On the leg page, I can delete the single waypoints, but if I delete a complete route that way, I end up with I discontinuity as last entry. It seems not to be possible to get rid of this, because I can't put the next wpt into the DISc. since there is no nect waypoint. The only solution is: go to the route page 1, enter some different Airports, then reenter the right Airports, this erases the plan, then reenter the plan, hopefully without errors. There has to be an easier way to correct a mistyped line...Any help would be very much eppreciated.Torsten
  6. Of course, I tried the following:1. I created a new flight with the MD112. I loaded the panel setting "cold and dark"3. I Turned on BAT + Emergency Power, this activates the MCDUafter that I tried the refueling, but as above "REFUELING NOT ALLOWED"4. I Connected External Power, Turn on GLY + normal EXT PWRafter that I tried... but "NOT ALLOWED"5. I activated AUX HYD pump to get hydraulicafter that "NOT ALLOWED"6. I rechecked and set Parking Brakeafter that "NOT ALLOWED"As I told above, I am out of ideas. It would be great to get some official feedback. Since the simulation does not CTD but gives the message "REFUELING NOT ALLOWED", this seems to be programmed for some purpose. So I need to learn of the guys who programmed this message, under which conditions it is activated. Thanks in advance for any help,Torsten
  7. Sorry, I forgot:MD11 PAX for FS9,I thought the "older" ones don't have the fs actions shortcut menus.Torsten
  8. Hi simmers,I have a problem with my MD11 PAX in FS9. (using Windows XP)I can't get the simulated refueling under "FS ACTIONS SHORTCUTS" to work. When I select the option "REFUELING" under "FS ACTION SHORTCUTS", I only get the message "REFUELING NOT ALLOWED". I tried everything (Fuel system on manual / on automatic, external power on/off etc.) nothing works. The documentation does not help, I scanned all documents for refueling: The possible message "REFUELING NOT ALLOWED" is mentioned nowhere. I only found the alert message "REFUELING" when the refuel panel is armed.Does this mean, the refuel panel has to be armed first? How is that done? The Refueling section of the introduction manual does not mention this, neither the other documents I scanned.I also searched this forum and found nothing on this, so, am I the only one with this problem? or just the only one to stupid to figure it out?Any help would be appreciated,Torsten
  9. How abot a Twin Otter ?The Lago Twotter is somewhat outdated and the freeware is not top notch. The Twotter is very versatile and comes useful in VFR as in airline operations. It would be very exciting to get a top notch DHC6.Just my 2 cents...TorstenP.S.Dash 7, the "big sister" would be great too,or a Stratocruiser, to get a real luxury classics.T.
  10. Same here,it would be great to have some informations about the B1900C paintkit.Torsten
  11. Hi Martin,I had the same problem. I added the following line to the entry of UNNT in the scenery.cfgExclude=N55 1.5,E82 37.6,N54 59.8,E82 41.2,objectsThis solved the problem for me.Happy flying,Torsten
  12. I made a mistake:the file is called remover10.zip(I think it is remover.zip on flightsim.com)Greetings,Torsten Wille
  13. Hi,here is what to do about EDDK.It is kind of complicated, but it works.I wrote a little utility called 3D Remover (remover.zip at avsim) which does exactly what you want. It has the advantage of not disassembling and reassembling, so there should be little data loss. Now there is a problem with EDDK of GA. The EDDK-bgl is a compressed bgl and unfortunately my utility cannot handle this. So, before using my utility, you have to decompress the file.here is what to do:1. Get the FS2000 scenery SDK of microsoft and extract the included decompression utility.2. Use this utility (read the included documentation) to decompress the appropriate file (I think it is KBO-F8-2.bgl)3. Use my utility to remove the aircrafts by defining the corresponding textures (Again, read the enclosed documentation). This worked fine for me.Hope this helps,Torsten Wille
  14. Hi,Thanks for the message, but I already know (and use) that. What I am trying to do now, is a gauge, that displays the status of the No2 Exit. So it
  15. Hi simmers, according to the FS2004 SDK there are two parameters to get the status of the exit doors. There is the usual "CANOPY OPEN", that gives the state of the Main Exit Door, and there is a new parameter "EXIT OPEN" that should be able to take indexes. I thought this is a great improvement, because this should give the possibility to read the status of cargo doors, etc. which are toggled by SHIFT + E 2.However, so far I was not able to figure out how these indexes have to be implemented. I can use the syntax "EXIT OPEN" and this seems to be exactly the same as "CANOPY OPEN". But When I try it with an index, it does not work. I tried:"EXIT1 OPEN""EXIT2 OPEN""EXIT OPEN1""EXIT OPEN2"Does anybody know, how to implement the index number. I would be very glad to learn how to do this, any example would be appreciated.Nice Flying,Torsten
