  1. Let us know what you think of it. It looks really good, just not sure how it will actually perform.
  2. WOW! I didn't expect such a huge reply. Thanks to everyone for all these choices, that are sure to keep me busy. I look forward to flying to these areas and trying some of the freeware and possibly some payware sceneries. Thanks again,Costas
  3. FSNavigator is what I use, and am very happy with it. It has many features that I like. I'm sure FSBUIL is good also. Take your pick.
  4. I have been flying MSFS for a while now, and sometimes I just don't know where to fly to. There are thousands of airports in the sim, some are great, some aren't. Where do you like to fly? Any destinations you can recommend? I love beautiful scenery, so that is a plus, and I'm not just talking about the airports. I'm talking about mountains, water, islands, etc. Anyway, I would appreciate hearing where some of you like to fly.
  5. I also have a question regarding FMC and ATC. I use FSNavigator for a flight planner and even though I export it into MSFS and load it from there, ATC does not take me on the same route that I file in FSNavigator and PMDG FMC. What am I doing wrong?
  6. Mats,Thanks, I'll take a look at the tutorial. BTW, I did a search before I posted and couldn't find anything explaining what I was looking for. ;-)
  7. Hi,I have the PMDG 600/700/800/900 models, and would like to know how I can program SID STARS into the FMC. I have taken the Metzinger tutorials, but am still trying to figure out how to use SID's and STARS with my PMDG FMC. For example, let's say I would like to fly from KBOS to KJFX. Where do I get started? Do I have to open up the SID STARS files to find the routes. I'm sorry if I sound like a novice, because I am when it comes SID STARS. Any help you can give me regarding this matter, is greatly appreciated. :-zhelp
  8. Actually, I downloaded that one yesterday. I was mainly looking for the tutorial from Timothy Metzinger. I heard a lot about it, and was hoping to receive a copy somehow. Thanks for your efforts, though.Costas
  9. Troy,I just got this computer about 3 weeks ago. I really wanted to get the ATI X800 PRO, but the only graphics card at the time was the X300SE. So far it's working great, but that's a comparison with my older Nvidia 400 series card. My goal is to eventually upgrade to the X800 PRO, but so far I have no complaints with this one.
  10. I am looking to download the Advanced Operations Tutorial for 737NG from Timothy Metzinger, and it is not available. I know that he is working on updating it and will release it soon, but I was wondering if one of you that already has the original version, be so kind to e-mail me that file. I just purchased the 737NG software a couple of days ago, and could really use a high quality tutorial such as Timothy's. Thanks for your help,Costas
  11. :-lol I hear you loud and clear.Costas
  12. Thanks guys, I appreciate your help. I went ahead and purchased it last night. Talk about a steep learning curve, yikes. :-eek Actually, I really enjoy realistic simulators. I love going through all the checklists and clicking on buttons, etc. It gives you that "airline captain" feeling. Yeah, I will probably get the upgrade sooner than later. I will just have to make sure my wife isn't around when I do it. :-hahThanks again,Costas
  13. Thanks Word Not Allowed, much appreciated.Costas
  14. Vin,Thanks for the help. Is there a manual for this airplane anywhere. When I got the zipped file with the software, there wasn't a manual with it. Do you know where I can get one? Thanks again,Costas
  15. I just purchased the PMDG 737NG and am anxious to get into the skies, but when I accelerate I hear an annoying buzzing sound. I know that this aircraft is very realistic, but what do I need to do in order to fly this thing? Thanks,Costas
  16. Gabriel, Thanks for the quick reply and explanation. I have one other question. Are the buttons and switches on the overhead and front panel clickable, and do you think the framerates would be ok based on my system? Thanks again,Costas
  17. I am looking to purchase an airliner. I have been told by many of you that PMDG is the way to go. I am having trouble choosing one. The 737 800/900 is $27.95 and the 737NG 600/700 is $39.95. I don't mind paying the extra for the 737NG, but I was hoping to hear from owners of these airliners as to which one is better. I can't really figure out why the NG is more expensive. Any input as to which one is better is greatly appreciated. Thanks,Costas
  18. Steve,Thanks for your help. It's much appreciated.Costas
  19. I downloaded the terrain SDK and am trying to build some terrain mesh, and in the instructions it tells me to go to the following site and just click on the DEM I want. When I click on the city I want, nothing comes up. Am I doing something wrong or is the site down?http://edcsgs9.cr.usgs.gov/glis/hyper/guid...ig/index1m.htmlThanks,Costas
  20. I'm trying to create mesh terrain for FS9 and have downloaded theis SDK. In the terraing SDK, they explaing that I should go to the following link and click ont the DEM that I want. When I do that, the page doesn't work. What am I doing wrong, and is there an easier way to create my own mesh terrain?http://edcsgs9.cr.usgs.gov/glis/hyper/guid...ig/index1m.htmlThanks,Costas
  21. When I saw the ad it caught my interest, but when I saw the screenshots, I knew for sure that I have seen better water textures as freeware. This was a waste of ad space in my opinion. Should definitely be freeware. :-grr
  22. I just bought it a couple of hours ago, and so far I am very impressed and happy that I purchased it. It is very realistic in my opinion, and the graphics are awesome. :+
  23. Todd, excellent videos. I am very interested in purchasing it also, but was just wondering how it affects the frame rates. The graphics look awesome, but just wondering how smoothe it is flying. Thanks,Costas
  24. Jim, thanks for the info. Earlier this morning I downloaded a couple of the Posky airliners but wasn't crazy about the flight dynamics. I'm glad you mentioned that there is an update to the flight dynamics. I will give it a try. Also, I was aware that PMDG is payware. I don't have a problem paying for a good aircraft, but there have been so many great freeware in the library that I thought I would give those a try first. I think it's great that so many people on these boards devote their time and effort to designing these airplanes and liveries and providing them for Free for our enjoyment. Thanks again,Costas
