I have some progress. It opens but when I try to rebuild airports I get a run-time error '6'. I am still running version 4.2.3831 in FS9. When I click rebuild in FS9 no problem. I did some searching and came up with others how have experienced the same problem. As far as I can tell I don't have makerwys in FSX. How can I install it? Also after I get FSX running properly can I upgrade FS9 To version rcv4.3843? First things first though how can I get the run-time error '6' corrected.Thanks for you helpHarry

Need some guidence" I am currently running rcv 4.2.3831 for FS9 and it's running great. I rcvd an E-Mail for downloading rcv4.3 for FSX back in january but was in the process of purchasing a new computer. I'm just getting around to rcv4.3 now. I have read the news release and install instructions in the forums but am still unsure of the process. Do I need to Purchase an all new rcv4.3 for FSX or can I get a discount being an already customer. Also as for installing the version for FSX where exactly do I unzip the files too or will the install program automatically do the installing. I searched the forum for help on these questions but couldn't find what I needed. Sorry in advance for the post if I missed the answer posted elsewhere. Anyhelp would be appreciated.Harry

Hi Paul;Thanks for writing. Keep in mind that my system is not a Dell. Only my monitor is a Dell widescreen 2405FPW 24". My system as built by a friend Two years ago. I've include the attachments you asked for.Harry

BryanBy chance it appears that I have solved my problem. My monitor is a Dell 24" Flat screen and the display in FS2004 that I was using was 1920x1200x16. So I decided to try the smallest 640x480x16 and it worked. Everything displayed perfectly. Views, panels, everything. No freezing. So I worked my way up and settled on 1600x1200x16. Now I can start enjoying the program. Thanks for your help.CheersHarry

Everything. As before when I don't touch tha view tabs or panel views and I settle for "straight ahead viewing the A/C flys great. I can stay in the pattern and land OK. However the moment I try to change views, the program freezes. Trying to look side to side or left quarter thru right quarter,,,,everything freezes. Almost the same thing for the panel views. Like trying to view the Overhead panel and the the other panels via "shift 1 thru 9" everything freezes. Sometimes I can press "the ALT" button and that will bring up one of the panels I was searching for. But only after several attempts. So it's not FS2Crew thats doing it....it seems. FS2004 performs OK with all other A/C. Only when LDL767 is loaded does the problems start. I'm planning on rebuilding my computer around JAN 2007 making it more powerful, so I might just have to wait until then and try loading it with that system. My system WinXP Pro, !.6MHZ, 1GIG RAM, So I think that part is ok. Anyway something going on. Probably something small. I'll keep playing with and trying different things. I appreciate your help. BryanI did all that you said however my problem still presists. Whenever I do the "Panel Views Shift+1 thru 9" They are extremely slow in coming up. Sometimes not at all. Also when I press the ALT button the menu bar appears across the top but I can't get rid of it. Any ideas what my problems is?Thanks in advanceHarry

I need some help in determining my problem. I just purchased Level D 767 and FS2Crew. when I load everything and Press Shift+5 or 6 or anything for that matter in order to get different panels Fltsim will lockup. Maybe after a minute or two the response will come. Any help would be appreciated.Thanks in advance.Harry

I have already installed FS2Crew 767. I realized after I installed it I was supposed to have installed servepack 3 the manual prior to installing the main software. Ok I've downloaded the SP3. Do I uninstalled FS2Crew 767, then install the SP3, then reinstall FS2Crew. Is this the correct procedure?Thanks for your helpHarry

Hi jdI did as you said and downloaded the new version 2272. I uzipped it into my rcv folder and replaced the desktop startup icon. I then rebuilt the KORD-KSTL flight. I loaded the PLN with rcv and everything seems to be OK. No K7.K7,K7 K7.etc. It shows the correct waypoints. I don't have time to fly now. Have to go shopping with my wife... soooooo I'll fly later today and post how it goes. I'm thinking it should be Ok. Stay tuned.Harry

JdWhen I hover over the icon it says:3.10.0.2269. Looks like it's not the 3.10.0.2272 that is supposed to be. Ok what proceedure should I follow now? Give me the link to the correct version. Do I install over my existing software?Thanks for your helpHarry

Hi JohnI checked the Shortcut icon and it points to the rcv31.exe file,in my case it is on my G drive. The reason for that is I also video edit and I want to keep my video seperate from everything else. Again rcv was working perfectly until about a week ago. After checking the icon to make sure it was ok I deleted all the .PLN files that were in error, then did a system restore to a point before it started giving me trouble. I then built a fltpln and tried loading it in FS2004 and then with rcv3.1. No luck. Same thing happened. All then fltplns load ok that was built before that date. I noticed you mentioned that there is a new version 4.0 out. Am I elegible for the upgrade? Also do you think that if I completely uninstalled rcv and reinstalled and ending up with Version 4.0 that just might correct the problem?Thanks for you help.Harry

Hi JDI already have RC3.1 and the additional files11.zip12.zip13.zipRCWavUpdateFULL.zipIt seems this was an "all of a sudden" type thing. Rc's Flt Pln doesn't match FS2004's. If I follow Fs2004 Fltpln RC will get on me for being off my course. And the last couple of times there is no decent clearances for vectoring to approach. I just completed the flight plan and fly directly over the destination Airport at my cruise altitude. Whether or not it had anything to do with my installing Flight Deck Companion. It seems to have started right after that. I uninstalled FDC but it didn't help. The problem is still there. I am using Fs2004 flt planner. I can't get NAV30 to work with FS2004. Do I need to uninstall RC3.1 and reinstall it? Again thanks for your help.Harry

For some reason my way points are displayed as K6 K6 K6 etc Or K7 K7 K7 etc. I am building my Flight Plans with FS4. When I try to fly the flt Headings are different from the flight plan. This problem started "all of a sudden". I thought it might have been when I installed Flight Deck Companion. However when I uninstalled FDC the problem was still there. All the other flights that I built before installing FDC are OK. Would restoring Windows XP PRO back to a previous date correct the problem? What else do I need to tell you here to help you solve my problem? Thanks in advance.Harry
