  2. Hi Dave: Very soon I will be Upgrading from windows 7 and doing a fresh Install of Windows 10. What do I need to do to have successful Reinstall of Pilot2ATC? My License Key is: Edit:Removed Purchased 2/23/2016 Regards Harry Lender
  3. I will try that. Thanks for your reply.
  4. Is there any way of saving a flight in order to resume it later? Say if you were on a long flight and you had to leave the house and shut off your computer, could you save the flight and resume it the next day. Thanks for help. Harry
  5. As did mine also. I have a separate post. Thank you so much. Harry Lender
  6. Hi Dave; I'm having a problem starting the newest update version 2.2.0.3 after downloading and installing.. Normally after I do the update and it starts up it would be visible and ready for use in the lower left corner of my computer. However it's down on the taskbar. When I click on it nothing happens. I do an "ALT-TAB" hoping that it will spring to life but no such luck. Obviously I'm doing something wrong. What do you need from me to help you find out what is going wrong? Regards and thanks in advance. Harry Lender
  7. That's the reason I posted this. As I researched it got more confusing, The old saying "Do your research" Paid off. Thanks for responding. Look before you leap.
  8. Hi Dave; I noticed that a new Flight Sim, Microsoft Flight Simulator 2017, is out on the market. Will Pilot2ATC work with this sim or should I wait a while to purchase it? Thanks Harry
  9. Dave Thanks for your reply. I will keep this in mind. BTW those voice files from RealATC.com are great. Having a blast using them. They're offering a great deal. Can't go wrong. Thanks for mentioning them on this site. take care Harry
  10. So far everything, for the most part, seems to operating very well when you fly from controlled airport to another Controlled Airport. However flying from a controlled airport IFR into a uncontrolled airport is challenging. I get clearance to the airport no problem and ATC says to expect vectors to the RNAV approach. That's fine. Now as I get closer ATC should be assigning stepdowns to different altitudes, then to vector me toward the final RNAV approach. The time before I flew yesterday I had to request a lower ALT with Center after that everything was OK. Yesterday I didn't hear anything even after requesting a lower ATL. I had to fly the approach myself without any CLC from ATC. What is the proper way in P2ATC to handle this situation?? When I flew the route in real life some years ago ATC would Clear me down step by step and then a final heading to intercept the final RNAV approach course. I searched the manual and videos but couldn't find a solution. Thanks in advance Harry
  11. Just wanted to let everyone know that RealATC Audio File for Chatter is outstanding. Go to http://realatc.net/realATCp2atc.htm. They are having a discount for $4.95 which you can't be beat. Normally is $9.95. Download the Files, unzip them. Go to users Guide and follow the instructions for the files. The easiest way to get it working when using ATCLive.net files is to use a separate file for each controller type. To do this, you download and store the files where you like. Then in the setup/config window, choose the Separate Files option, point to the file for each controller using the drop-downs next to each controller's name. The RealATC setup is different. You need to create a Controllers folder under ATC_Chatter and then one folder per controller type under that. See the user guide on p.73 for the Controllers Folder option. There is a screenshot of the sub folders you need in the Controllers folder. Just copy and paste the files from the corresponding folders to the ATC_Chatter/Controllers folder would be the simplest. Another option is to set up the sound files on another drive/location and build the entire folder structure from ATC_Chatter on down. Then point to the new ATC_Chatter folder in the setup/cofig panel. All the folders and files should be under Controllers, not US. The structure under Controllers should be as depicted in the screenshot in the user’s guide. You don’t need any files under the Countries or US if you are using the ATCPro files. You really can't go wrong. Harry
  12. Plz check your email. I'm sending you a picture. I'm having no luck.
  13. Hi Dave: I followed the instructions per the user's Guide. Created the folders in the ATC_Chatter folder per instructions. My files that I downloaded from RealATC and unzipped are on another drive on my computer. I have 3 drives C,D, and F. F is where the RealATC Files are. However I can't seem to bring them over to P2ATC in the Sounds section. Any suggestions on how to proceed beyond this point. Thanks Again Harry
  14. Dave: Thank you. I was just reading that page 73 as your msg came through. I will tackle now. Thanks Again Harry
  15. Hi Dave: I just downloaded and unzipped the RealATC files but I can't figure out how to set them up to play. They are individual files for Tower, Grd, Dep,etc, etc. P2ATC only let me key on one single file which is just maybe 10 or 11sec long. If you need a pic of what they look like let me know and I'll send you what you need. Thanks again for your help Harry.
  16. Dave: Thanks for responding. I will give that a try. Also I noticed you had a link to RealATC.net. I just finished purchasing as your msg came through. At a great price I might add. $4.95. Discount for P2ATC users. So I will try to install them also. Hopefully they will tell me how to install them. If not I'll contact you for further instructions. BTW P2ATC is evolving into an outstanding software. Keep up the good work. I will keep you posted on how the RealATC files go. Thanks Again. Harry
  17. Two days ago I reinstalled P2ATC 2.0.13. Everything works except for not hearing any of the chatter files I installed.I am still working on my problem. Started a new subject asking for help but somehow now I can't find my post. Anyway could someone do an in depth video tutorial on the proper way to install and activate all of the chatter files. I know that there some videos on YouTube that touches on the subject but I need the how to deal with the file structure in order to do it correctly. I have noticed several other posts that have had the same problem as I have. P2ATC is a great Project and it's still in it's infancy and growing. Harry
  18. Norman Thanks for your reply. That seemed to do the trick. All files seem to be in their proper location. Program launched okey. Hopefully when I fly that will go ok also. Thanks again for the help. Harry
  19. Hi Dave I clicked the update button and let it do it's thing. I opened the program and applied the new key and it opened with a warning. I will have type it out because I didn't see anyway to attach the picture I took. Is this anything I have to be concerned about? Sorry Harry "Unable to initialize Database The underlying provider failed on Open. An attempt to attach an auto-named database for the C:\Pilot2ATC_200\Data\P2ADynamicData.mdf failed. A database with the same name exists, or specified file cannot be opened, or it is located on UNC share."
  20. Hi Dave; First of all let me apologize for the question if the answer to is right before my eyes and I missed it. With that said. I bought and downloaded Beta Version 2000 several months ago. Everything working fine. Doing the updates with no problems. Now I notice that there is a Beta Version 2.0.1.2. I have your emails on what to do like renaming the original folder to Pilot2ATC_20032 per your email which I have done. Now I see there is a "Download V2 Beta v 2.0.12" and a "Download Version 2.0.1.2 Update". I don't want to mess things up. How do I handle this. I am at a standstill right now. I have your email with the new License Key. Do I create a new folder for Download V2 Beta v 2.0.12? And then Install "Download V2 Beta v 2.0.12" into the new folder? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again Harry
  21. Quote I've updated the base download Database slightly to correct a couple of issues reported during the Beta so far related to frequencies at various airports. Otherwise, this download is the same as the latest update 2.0.0.32. If you are not having issues with 2.0.0.32, no need to update. WARNING If you do download and install this, it will replace your Databases, Sound files, etc. If you have updated any of these, then you should rename the Pilot2ATC_200 main installation folder to something like Pilot2ATC_20032 before you install the new version. Then, you can copy any of your updates from that renamed old folder to the new installation. Dave end quote My question is: I last downloaded v2031 but did not fly with that download, I haven't have any problems before that.. Do I download v2032 into Pilot2ATC_200 main installation folder as with the previous downloads, or do I need to rename the original folder to 2.0.1.0? Please forgive the question. I just wanted to make sure before I mess things up. Thanks again. Harry
  22. Helge: Thanks for that. Went in and changed it to 80 miles. We'll see what that does. BTW I was flying a Lear. harry
  23. Hi Helge; Looks like that was the problem. I requested vectors to the IF and ATC started giving me headings to intercept the ILS. So that was the problem. Thanks again for everyone's help. Much appreciated. Harry
  24. Hi Helge; Thanks for responding. I have version 2.0.0.23. And I have FltPln tab "ATC Gives Vectors to IF" checked. Don't know why it doesn't take me all the way to IF? But I also read Dave's response and he said the same as you did. Looks like I will have to request radar vectors to the ILS verbally from ATC. I'll try that later today to see how that works out. that's what I like about P2A, it keeps you thinking. Gets you involved which is great. I'll let you know how it works out. Thanks again for your input. Harry Hi Dave; Thanks for responding. I just replied to Helge. I basically am just repeating here. I'll get back with you on how it goes. Thanks Again. Harry
  25. Don't know if this is a bug or not but here goes. I have flown about 6 IFR flts from KSTL to KORD The flts go well. I have to manually fly the A/C via the autopilot in order to follow the legs of the Flight Plan. However when I get to KORD at about 50 to 100 miles out vectoring will cease and ATC will tell me that I'm cleared for The ILS approach. This makes me do my own heading adjustments to intercept the localizer. In Radar Contact and when I flew in real life ATC would give me vectors all the way to intercept the localizer and tell me to take over and complete the approach. Also to contact tower. I haven't tried any flights to other airports to see if there is any difference. If I posted this in the wrong area I apologize. Everything loads correctly, Flight plans SIDS, Stars. I also build the FltPln in FSX Flight Planner and load it. Any help would be appreciated. Harry
