  1. OK, thanks, Stew. I'll try again (if I can find the right place!0 Jock
  2. I had FSX boxed and FTX Steam installed on my SSD drive. I have deleted the boxed version to make room. In any case, I already had the boxed version installed on my hard drive. Now, when I open FTX Central, it shows only three areas, each containing none of my installed items: Europe (showing Manchester City Airport and heliport), North America (showing four items I have never had), Oceania (showing Broome International Airport). I had Global, Land Class , Vector, Europe (with several airports), North America (ditto), Oceania (again ditto), etc. Now, I can't do anything with FTX Central. I have downloaded and reinstalled it, but with the same result. I have run FS Registry repair, so the location of the sims is registered correctly. What do I do to correct this, please? Jock
  3. As I said, I have the Libraries up to date and installed. Thank you all for your replies. I'll have to try the ORBX customer support. Jock
  4. My bought ORBX airports have no buildings or people or AI aircraft. They just show up as wasteland. I have FTX Global, Open Landclass Europe, Vector and up-to-date Libraries all installed as verified by FTX Central. I also have Shoreham, Southampton and Elstree installed. I have reinstalled all of these several times, but with no success. What is wrong, please? Jock Wilkinson
  5. Further to my previous message, I am now happy to report that everything I want is now installed. I used the method suggested by KriVa and it worked a treat. Thank you so much to all of you. By the way, my version of the Livery manager is 1.12. I think I've seen references to a newer version but I've failed to find a link to download it. Does version 2.01 exist? Jock
  6. Thank you, Ryan. I actually clicked on Cancel I think when told that the folders already existed. I'll try to send a ticket to you - not sure how, but I'll try. Jock
  7. You're very kind. I'll do as you say tomorrow (time to eat now!) Thank you so much. Jock
  8. I'm concentrating on the PMDG 737-800NGX PMDG House Winglets model at the moment. There are 18 Texture folders in the aircraft folder, but only the base model [fltsim.0] is in the cfg. What's the next step, please?
  9. Oh yes, Oliver. I've been at this game for many years. This is a specific problem, I'm afraid. Thank you, anyway. Jock
  10. I had already successfully installed a number of liveries via the Livery Manager. For some reason they have disappeared. The house livery is the only remaining one for, e.g., the 800 winglet version. When I try to reinstall the liveries, using the LM, I get the same message for each one to the effect that this livery is already installed. THEY AREN'T! (sorry to shout). Any help would be much appreciated, please. (Vista 64) Yes, I have run the Livery Manager as administrator - to no avail. Jock
  11. Does anyone know of a patch for the French scenery addon called FRPX when used with FSX SP2, please? It seems such a waste of a super freeware scenic enhancement if it can't work with SP2. I've tried several times, but it causes a CTD every time. Help would be much appreciated. Jock
  12. Pete,First of all, my apologies for not seeing your reply, for which many thanks.I wait until notified via an email that there is a reply to my queries. This did not happen, so I assumed there were no replies. Add to that an absence from home for the last eleven days, and you may be inclined to show a little lenience!I must, of course, pay more attention to the manual with my registered copy of FSUIPC, an application which I would not like to be without, so thank you for that.Once again, my apologies for giving the wrong impression.Regards,Jock
  13. I run FSX with Vista 32. Whenever I set up a flight, there are now four files instead of the usual three. The newcomer is IPCBIN.Should it be there? Is it needed? Should I delete it?All help will be gratefully received.Jock
  14. I notice, when I create a flight plan in fsx, that there are now four files instead of three. The latest arrival is IPC BIN file. What is it? Where did it come from? Is it needed? Shall I delete it? Help, please.Jock
  15. Paul,I think I've caught on - at long last.Very many thanks for your persistence and great patience.Best wishes to Cumbria from Devon,Jock
  16. Paul,Many thanks for your patience, which I'm going to test even more.I'm actually not a "Newbie" after many years of flightsimming, but there are still some things I don't know. You say "[GPS_Engine] is a section in your saved flight file, (FILENAME.FLT)."What is my saved flight file, other than what is accessible within the game? The flights I have created for myself and Bernard are not in FSX > Flights > Other, only in Documents > Flight Simulator X files. There's no sign of a GPS engine there.I'm missing something, I know - perhaps some little grey cells!Over to you once more.Jock
  17. Hi Paul,Thank you for your replies. Unfortunately you've lost me. Where do I find [GPS_ENGINE], please. Also, I'm not sure what you mean by " In FSX slect & load the .flt, then from the menu -> Flights->Flight Planner select and load the FLIGHTPLANNAME, now save the flight."Whenever a saved flight is loaded from Flight Planner the waypoints don't appear - even on my own computer. The only way I get them is by loading the "scenario" as I made it.Finally, although I can attach files to e-mails, I haven't managed to attach a zipped file to this post. There must be a way, of course, but I've never done it.I think the easiest method is for my friend to substitue his own user name for mine. But how do people upload flightplans for everyone else to use?Once again, many thanks.Jock
  18. My friend and I have identical PCs, both with FSX and Vista. I like to create flightplans for him (he's 86, I'm only 80) with waypoints which I have carefully inserted. The problem is that when he loads the flightplans in the prescribed manner, all of the waypoints have disappeared. This is what the Learning Centre says:"It's easy to share flights with other users. Just send all of the files associated with the flight (.flt, .wx, .pln, and .htm files) from your My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files folder. Your friends can then put the files in their own My Documents\Flight Simulator X Files folder, and your flights will appear in their Load Flight dialog box."Rubbish! They don't appear with a GPS flightplan ever.Going into Flights>flightplanner>load> "VFR A to Z" gives a flightplan from A to Z, with not a single waypoint in between. Now, when people upload flightplans for us all to use, we've got the waypoints. How do they do it?Any help for two enthusiastic FS veterans will be much appreciated.Thank you for reading this.Jock
  19. I don't know where it has come from, but I've got an enormous aircraft carrier slewed across the 34 runway at Seattle. I'd rather not have it there, so if anyone can help me remove it (it's a bit too heavy for me to shift it on my own) I shall be very grateful.Jock
  20. I've just removed the gauge from the panels I had it installed in. I know it is supposed to work in FS2000, FS2002 and FS2004 . . . but I wonder!! Shame, isn't it.Jock
  21. I too am having no luck at all with this gauge. I have everything installed in the right places, with the exception of what Bob calls RwyInfoGauge program. I'm not at all sure what you mean by that. I have a feeling that I got this programme to work with FS2000, but it just doesn't seem to like my FS9. Further help would be much appreciated, please.Jock.
