  1. I know this sounds like a broken record but, any chance of a Northwest -200 in new colors...much nicer than the old grey/red/black? Oh and I guess I fourth the request for United -200 in new colors. Love the blue. And, while I'm at it, has anyone thought of Eastern Airlines yet? My first flight was on an Eastern 757-200. TPA-RDU if I recall correctly. By the way, you painters are doing some EXCELLENT work from what I've seen. Quite lovely indeed! And thanks a million!-adam
  2. Thanks for the help. However, I did solve the problem. I guess this teaches me to experiment before asking questions. I did gain other useful knowledge in the process though. By the way, I did have the FD on when I first noticed the problem. What I did find is that if the FD is engaged before IRS alignment is complete, the annunciations during takeoff are: EPR | | | FD. If IRS alignment completes and then the FD is turned on, all works as designed: EPR | TO | TO | FD. If FD is switched on, alignment completes, and then FD is cycled off and on again, TO will appear. Obviously it is tied into alignment. This may actually be a bug because I've also noticed (as have others I'm sure) that the autobrake system won't be available until alignment is complete. Kind if a quirky thing, but it really doesn't detract from the overal experience, which is great I might add. I hope this helps someone, and Iain, thanks again for being so speedy with a reply!-adam
  3. Hello, I have a question about the FMA. For some reason, when I arm the A/T and press EPR to get takeoff thrust, the FMA is only displaying EPR on the far left and FD on the far right. If I'm correct, TO is supposed to be annunciated in the middle two boxes. For me it is not. What do I have to activate to get the FMA to annunciate TO in the pitch and roll boxes? For that matter, the FD doesn't give me the proper pitch cues prior to or during takeoff. I have a good grasp of the systems of this bird due to experience with a certain 767 add-on and for the life of me, I can't figure out how arm the TO mode for this wonderful 757. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks..-adam
  4. Chris, One more thing. I found that if the preset derate (1 or 2) is selected, it will override the assumed temperature EPR unless the assumed temperature gives a more restrictive EPR. It makes sense really. I'm certain this is how it is supposed to function in the real A/C. Also, selecting TO 1 or TO 2 definately preselects CLB 1 or CLB 2, respectively. It seems redundant to have both selected but I think this is for the sole purpose of having a low TO EPR for takeoff with assumed temperature and at the same time preselecting a derated climb. I have yet to find a condition where I could go without derated climb power and still have comfortable (virtual) passengers. It is the rocketplane, after all. Of course, I haven't tried the EGE GYPSUM3 from 23 yet. :)-adam
  5. Hey Chris, Try the "1" or "2" buttons on the TRP (right side of the cockpit) below the MCP, above the gear handle. I'm almost certain that TO-1 is 5% derate and TO-2 is 15% for the 75. You can actually combine this with an assumed temp for more derate and get D-TO 1 or D-TO 2. Now you can help me too...Do you know how to pre-select reduced climb thrust on the ground? I'm guessing that by selecting a set derated take off (1 or 2) that also arms CLB 1 or CLB2. I've been trying to figure this out since I got the bird since I know it is possible just look at that other company's 767. Anyway, hops this helps.-adam
  6. Thanks all!! Just wanted confirmation that I wasn't going to screw anything up. -adam
  7. Hello, Here's kind of a stupid question. If I wanted to use a texture from an aircraft with winglets, will it work with the non-winglet models? The reason I ask is because I would like to fly some non-winglet Continental flights as not all of their 75's are wingletted yet and the liveries that come with the package don't include a non-winglet version for COA. I'm assuming that as long as the Aircraft.cfg is modified carefully, it will work. Anyone else? Thanks...-adam
  8. Hello All, I'm just inquiring about the status of the load editor and fuel planner. Besides that little detail, I'm having a tremendous amout of fun with the 75. Apart from some minor issues that I am yet to report (still too soon in my opinion, as they are all minor in comparison to what others have reported), I really enjoy this bird. Rock steady FPS (for the most part) and a beautiful model...just love the wing shine in the sunlight. However, it is difficult to plan a reasonable fuel load without even as much as the data to make the calculations. Thanks again for the tireless support PSS!-adam
  9. That's what I had thought, I just have a sometimes poor memory. Thanks...-adam
  10. Warning Bells As I recall with the T7, this bird in it's current state tends to throw error messages at every possible time. During pre-flight, during engine start, etc...I'm hoping that this can be rectified as it is a very shrill and annoying set of warnings that are only alerting normal pre-flight conditions. Also, as with the T7, the cockpit is as quiet as a library until engine start. No ambient sound (fans whirring, air moving from air vents, etc.). Now I'm sure that there are some sounds in the cockpit (not warning bells) up until enginge start. Thanks for addressing the important issues first though, PSS. It is appreciated. How often does Microsoft fix software issues within 36 hours of release??-adam
  11. Same here, Everything works fine until I go to a cold and dark situation. Everything fires up except the CDU. Frame rates are good for me though. I'm wondering if somehow the CDU files somehow got corrupted with all the traffic on the server or in the upload process. Just my two cents though. Haven't had much time to fool around with it but so far it looks great. Thanks.-adam
  12. >The tech 2 manual I downloaded is all 757. Can't see 777 there at >all?>Have they changed it or am I missing something?Very interesting, I downloaded the manuals (after randomly checking the support page) before notification even popped up on avsim that they were available. My Tech 2 manual has a Boeing-clad 75 on the cover with a blank page two and a 777 TOC on page three. Maybe mine will be a collector's item and I can sell it on eBay for $1,000,000 :-lol . Seriously though, easily readable and well written manuals. Thanks again!!-adam
  13. Hello, While we are on the topic of manuals, and this may be a bit inappropriate, but here's my little edits. As already mentioned, the entire table of contents for Tech Manual 2 appears to be for your 777 variants. The table of contents of Tech Manual 1 also lists "Typical 777-200F Specifications." The final two items I've noticed: the 757-200 and 757-300 3-views in Tech Manual 1 seem to be reversed and also, the service arrangement for the 757-200F seems to actually be for the 757-300 since I'm certain that a cargo 75 doesn't need galley service trucks, cabin cleaning, etc...All of this said, I will emphasize that this is all basically irrelevant to the ability of anyone to understand the manuals. They are well written and tell us what we need to know. I, for one, thank you for publishing them before the release of the actual product as it gives us (your customers) some homework to do while this sweet 757 is in final testing. Thanks a lot and sorry for the long post.-adam

    Pre Order

Thanks for the reply Graham. I figured there was just a little misunderstanding there. You guys keep up the hard work!-adam

    Pre Order

Norman, Did I misunderstand you in the thread titled "757 Manuals" when you said that the manuals (and tutorial) would be available in advance of the release? I just thought we'd have a few days to go over them before the release of the sim itself. If not, than no big deal. I have a pretty thorough knowledge of a 767 sim so the transition to the 75 shouldn't be any big deal. Thanks again for your continued support!-adam
  16. Hello Folks, First of all, this is not one of those "when will it" posts. I am totally comfortable waiting as long as it takes for this product to be fully ready. Totally bug free would be a stretch but very close would be great. My questions are: will the electrical system be fully modelled? The features list on the website doesn't specifically state as such. Second, is the IRS system fully implemented? I assume both of these systems are fully modeled as I would expect no less from PSS. Finally, will the load editor have the capability to modify both pax and cargo separately for the passenger models? The reason I ask is that with the T7, the cargo load for the pax models is more or less fixed. This is one of my two complaints (next to the cockpit sounds before startup) that really stick out with the current 777 (hint, hint). Okay, that's all. I look forward the impending release with patient anticipation. Good luck on final testing guys!-adam
  17. Thanks a whole lot! Sounds like (and looks like from what I've seen) a stunner! I think even I am beginning to drool. Good luck with the testing. I'll be there eating the bandwidth as soon as release for the pre-orders comes (unless I'm vacationing in Canada), In which case, oh well...I'll get it when I get it. Thanks again.-adam
  18. Thanks for the reply Norman. As for fully implemented, I meant that which is possible within FS. For the electrics, I basically mean that will they have a function? For example, will the drive gen disconnect switches actually cause the engine generators to come off line? Or will the main busses be powered to the extent that switching one off will affect their respective systems, etc?...I would never expect a reasonably priced (very reasonably, I might add) add-on for FS to model such items as circuit breakers as they generally don't get much use anyway. So, by fully, I mean that will the switches work: do the IRS' need full alignment and CDU entry to be fully online? Do the electrics require all "sides" working for proper operation? I have run across the odd add-on where turning off the generators has literally no effect on systems functioning. This is weird to me... Well, enough drivel. I appreciate the level of customer support you (speaking of everyone at PSS) have already provided; and this for a project that isn't even released yet! Thank you so much for the help!-adamBy the way, if you think that the answers to these questions will influence my purchase...well, I already preordered it. The 75 is my second favorite real-world aircraft (next to the 76) and since I heard that you all were developing one, I knew I had to go with PSS. Thanks again!

  20. Hello All, I agree totally that the transition from cold and dark to engines running should include NO aural alerts as to system status. It just doesn't seem right to me that normal conditions should give repeated alerts. That being said, I also feel that at the very least, there should be some faint "whooshing" sound coming from the cockpit as the packs/recirc fans come online. I wouldn't think that would be hard to model...just have it tied to the pack switch in the gauge. I understand that the T7 has an amazingly quiet cockpit during startup, but the silence I hear is deafening (well, save for the half dozen or so aural warnings that sound). Not having any sounds at all until the engines start however, reminds me that I'm simming and not flying. All of this being said, I also give many kudos to PSS for sticking with a project that had a few obvious flaws, even when the flaws weren't or aren't evident even to the developers. The good qualities of this T7 are really great. The negatives, although few, do however, detract from the overall experience. I enjoy flying this bird a great deal and look forward to any positive enhancements/fixes that PSS can make with upcoming updates. Thanks PSS, for listening to all of us!-adam
  21. Vote:#1 CRJ#2 CRJ#3 CRJ - a real good quality bird with all the systems...I just love these and they fly the sectors I have time to fly in FS...30mins to 2 hours...Thanks for asking.-adam
  22. Hello All, I'm sure this has been asked before but I really don't have time to search right now. This question has popped into my head several times but I never have gotten around to asking. So, why is it that when I take off from an airport with say, 1/2 mile visibility, that when I climb above the clouds, I can see the aiport plain as day? Is this MSFS limitation? I run FS9 with ASv6 at all times. Anyway, if there is a way to fix this, I would be much obliged to know the answer. Thanks you all.-Adam
  23. Just noticed...subject is supposed to be Quick GA Question...not quick QA question...must have gotten too happy with the my q's. DOH...-Adam
  24. Thanks guys...I did indeed purchase the Dreamfleet A36...Figuring out the complex GNS430 has been quite fun indeed. It is simple enough to get up and flying pretty quickly, if one has experience with FMS/GPS type systems. However, there are very detailed features that allow for very precise navigation. Very cool. Thanks again for the recommendations. -adam
  25. Hello all,After many many months of buying and flying many great commercial add-on products (FeelThere ERJ, all PMDG aircraft, Wilco 737, Level-D 767, CoolSky Super80, stc...) I wanted to drift into the world of GA flying. After all, this is where all real pilots learn to fly. Anyway, if you all had one payware GA single add-on to buy, which would it be? Thanks for any info you can give me...I much appreciate it.-Adam
