  1. OK Jim. Sorry for the late reply, I work 12 hour shifts, and did not get a chance to see any correspondence until I got home. Here is KBOS - CYHZ. When I fly this, app 50 nm away ATIS will give CYHZ weather with winds as indicated by ASX before departure. When contacting the tower (app 5nm out), I will be told "winds calm". At this point the cockpit wind gauge will indicate what the ATIS said. Shortly after this (2-3nm out)I will fly through the transition (sometimes violently) to the calm weather. This scenario will happen to every destination no matter where that may be, regardless as well of the departure airport. Rather frustrating, but once you get the plane re-lined up it makes for an easy landing. My go around skills are improving greatly as well! - Roger

  2. Hello all!For some time now, regardless of what Active Sky X weather said when I make my flight plan, when I get to the destination, the wind is always calm. This happens with every flight world wide. There also seems to be a radical wind change from the predicted weather to the calm wind, about 2 - 3 nm from the threshold. I use FSX deluxe, ASX (no graphics), and Radar Contact4.3.0.3843. I have 4.1.2.6 FSUIPC installed as well. I can not seem to find any setting that might cause this. Departure and en route weather is as predicted (except of course for the FSX wind shifts). Any ideas? - Roger

  3. Jd: I was about to make a log as you requested, but for some crazy reason everything worked perfectly. No more instant teleportation. I'm not sure what was going on with FSX, but after two days of it happening, today it is fine! I can't think of anything I had done to make this occur, but I must have done something! Sorry to be a bother, and thanks for your time. - Roger

  4. Hello All:I have been using Radar Contact for a while now without a problem. It is a superb program. Yesterday, I started Active Sky (weather only no graphics), then started FSX, planned my flight from LFPG to LOWI with FSBuild, and started rcv4x. After setting up radar contact, the instant I clicked on "Start RC", my aircraft was instantly transported to the intersection of the prime meridian and the equator. I have since found that I can not use any flight plan to anywhere out of DeGaulle without this occurring. Anyone have any ideas as to why this is happening? I have tried with and without Active Sky with the same results, so I don't think Active Sky is the problem. I don't have any add on sceneries, landclass, or mesh for the Paris area installed, and it doesn't matter what aircraft I use. - Roger

  5. Hello there: In response to your question, everthing you need for fairly realistic AI is in Ultimate Traffic, models with textures included. I would recommend you run Ultimate Traffic in Flightsim for a while, get used to its software interface and what AI planes and liveries are there, and then start adding more or different aircraft (models and/or textures) with it. There are numerous repaints available through UT's updater or you can use any other brand of AI aircraft (PAI or ProjectAI etc) The interface makes this process relatively easy. - Roger

  6. Hey Dave:I've had Ultimate Traffic for quite a while, and am pleased with it.I used PAI before that and although I liked PAI, I must say I find Ultimate Traffic a little bit nicer. Yes, I would say the pics on the web site are fairly representative of the product. (Remember - I have an older version and I know they have changed quite a few things ) One thing I noted is that there are a lot of airlines in this world and not all of them are represented. Also, some are there but done in Ultimate Traffic's default paint schemes rather than their real world liveries (I seemed to notice a lot of this at every airport - but I didn't notice any in the web site pics). These "default schemes" started to bug me after a while, but then it became a bit of fun actually, as I found AI planes on the net to substitute for them and turned it into a project - now I have very few default liveries. Ultimate Traffic's software makes this fairly easy to do. I think one of the nice things about this program is the amount of stuff you can do with it to customize it to your liking. As I said, it's been a while since I purchased and installed it, but it does not seem to me that the software took overly long to install, and I don't have a super fast computer. All in all I am quite glad I purchased it. Hope this is some help - Roger

  7. Clayton:The value is set in the default flight file. This is the flight which automatically loads when you start FS. The file is wound in "C:Documents and Settings***My DocumentsFlight Simulator Files". Right click on whichever flight is your default flight, select open with, use word pad and go to the section below.[Controls.0]SpoilersHandle=000.00LeftSpoiler=000.00RightSpoiler=000.00FlapsHandle=000.00LeftFlap=000.00RightFlap=000.00GearsHandle=100.00Gear1=100Gear2=100Gear3=100YokeY=050.00YokeX=050.00Rudder=050.00LeftBrake=100RightBrake=100ParkingBrake=100.00ElevatorTrim=050.00 ***************** This is the setting which needs to be changedRudderTrim=0AileronTrim=0Once you change it, obviously save it and this will set all aircraft to this value when you load FS.Good luck, - Roger
