  1. I wish that had been spelled out BEFORE I tried to install V1.2 over 1.1 because I almost got to the end of installing the new software and a window appeared...wanting me to insert disc #1 or point to the directory where the software is located. This had me confused, so I will go back home after work, uninstall the entire 757 package and reinstall from scratch using v 1.2. Now, after installing the new software, will I need to re-run the aircraft config. software or was this fixed with 1.2?Joe
  2. Ok, point taken. I'll be sure to sign this post.I load fuel through PMDG's drop down menu within FS9 under 'options'. I will normally select 1/3 full since most of my passenger flights don't require any more than this. Then I will get this Flying Tip window with the message about the selected tank needing more fuel, which is erroneous...in my opinion of course. I would like to be able to disable this pop up "Flying Tip" window(similar to the default ATC window within FS9). I must add, all of the overhead fuel selectors are activated as they should be. Like I have stated earlier, I haven't had this problem but until recently, and I haven't changed fueling procedures, so I'm needing some feedback as to what may be causing the pop up window to appear. Thanks,Joe
  3. Hi all,I have searched the forum to find an answer to this problem but I have been unable to find a topic regarding my particular problem. At any rate, recently I have been receiving a flying tip pop up window while using the 747. It basically says that I have insufficient fuel for the tank selected. Press CTRL X to add more fuel or something to that effect. Even though I go through the process of loading fuel through the PMDG options menu, select apply, etc., and have the correct fuel loaded with no FMC error messages, I still get this pop up window. It's quite annoying. Also, I have flying tips disabled within FS9 settings and still get this message. This has not happened before, so I am at a loss as to why this message appears frequently throughout a flight.I have even gone through the process of exiting a flight and reload the aircraft, but to no avail. Thanks for your input!
  4. Wasn't there a TV show in 70's called "Ponsky and Hutch"? Or was it Ponderosa and Hutch? There was a character named Fred in the show, I believe. No, wait! That was Huggy Bear! LOL
  5. I'm almost afraid to uncheck the item at this point....especially since the RC folks advised me to check all 3. Maybe I could uncheck that one and see if I get another CTD. Hey, it couldn't hurt! Thanks!
  6. I'm sure this topic has been covered in other threads within AVSIM, but I wanted to ask if there is a permanent solution to the ATC.dll problems that cause CTDs while using RC? I have had several CDTs on 2 particular routes and the ATC.dll was the culprit each time. Thank goodness you kind folks gave me a workable solution to "get around" the issue for now, and that is to reactivate the FS ATC but keep the sound down to almost nil. Although the FS ATC window would pop up at regular intervals, I was able to actually complete one of those previously problematic routes this evening without a hiccup in the sim.
