Don't know what to do with this aircraft. I am using FSX on a machine with 8GB RAM which makes the PMDG /// run very smoothly. However, the S550 seems to eat my frames. When using the Navigraph Extension Pack my frames are in the single digit zone which means the S550 is unflyable. Disabling the Navigraph pack and putting many slides in the settings to the left brings me into the 2 digit zone which means I can at least experience some of the VNAV bugs. What am I doing wrong? Is there any hope that Carenado might issue a service pack? Grateful for any advise.

The hidden clickspot is, if I see this correctly not under but slightly beneath the course knob.

Maybe I somehow missed it in the documentation but is there any good advice on how to fly the MD-11 on a visual approach without having any slope indicator (VASI/PAPI) for the correct glideslope? Thanks, I must admit I was a bit suprised the landing was rather smooth.

While on a nice stable approach with the MD-11 I switched off the autopilot at about 1000 feet above ground. Speed was okay. Then flaps/slats were automatically retracted (without me noticing it, I must admit). I only realized this later when watching the landing from the outside perspective: No flaps at all. What was I doing wrong, how to prevent this happening again? Thanks for any helpful hint.

I was loading a new fligth. But then, because I wanted to have the state of the panel as it is in the tutorial, I loaded the panel from the tutorial. Do I understand correctly that this might have caused the problem?If so, what would be the correct procedure? Is it possible to somehow create a new flight with a particular panel state at all? Any chance of getting rid of all the pre-settings from that (tutorial-)panel in the FMS? If this is not possible: Should I revert to completely cold and dark - there is probably no danger of loading any unwanted settings then. Thanks!

I am pretty sure I did everything as required. No problems with my first flights before the update. Load Manager has no red figures, all figures are within the range indicated. I pushed the Save button but am grateful for indication how to check whether it is really and truly saved. Even reloaded the aircraft everal times in order to make sure load configuration is loaded. Panel state is Tutorial. I am glad to see i am not the only one to have problems but grateful for any indication about how to proceed properly.

I am running MD-11 for FS9 and have just updated to the patch. I am only beginning to explore this marvellous aircraft but I seem to have difficulties entering a correct TOCG. Whatever I load - passenger and freighter version - the FMS tells me that my TOCG is out of range although it corresponds perfectly to the figurs of the load manager. What am I doing wrong?

I have A332/A333 and everything worked nicely. Since a couple of days the keystrokes for changing views do not seem to work any longer. Am talking about SHIFT+3 etc. Numpad+5 working though, as well as others like S for example. Numpad + and - no problem neither. I am aware of the clickspots and it is no major problem - but still wondering what went wrong. Any ideas?Thanks!
