June 22, 201015 yr The amphibian bounces on water, but not on land. The float model bounces on water. The ski model bounces on land, as does the tundra model.I wish I knew how to fix it myself.....

June 22, 201015 yr Why are the bouncing issues in Carenado a/c (185, Seneca, Arrow) so hit and miss? I haven't had issues with either a/c but read of many who do? Rick
June 27, 201015 yr Author Yes, it did, thank you! And thanks again to Little Al!Carenado sent me a new aircraft.cfg for the float version, which worked well. I'm still waiting to hear about the amphibious version.

It would be much appreciated.Al

June 28, 201015 yr Frank.....Thanks for the new float numbers. I know that you don't want to hear this but I have no bouncing problem on either the float or the amphibian using the default contact points. Go figure. I did though have the bouncing problem with the ski and tunda version but that was easily fixed as you know. If you haven't heard from Carenado yet on the amphibian fix you might try to apply the new float numbers to the amphibian. Of course save your old numbers and give it a try....nothing lost. Wish I could be of more help. Thanks anyway for the float numbers. Let me know how it all works out.Regards, Al

June 30, 201015 yr I gotta hand it to them, even though I was the only person on the planet having this issue, they went out of their way to help...I really appreciate that!Hey, am I on your ignore list? :( In "Cessna 185 bounces" I confirmed the issue for my setup. No matter if I chose the tundra, the float or whatever: *Bounce*So you were not alone. With your new cfg section it works like a breeze. Thanks very much for this information! Cheers - Stefan Maus
June 30, 201015 yr Author Sorry Steve, I didn't see your post :( I'm really glad that this plane works now. Carenado's aircraft really are my favorite....and to celebrate the 185 functioning completely for me, I bought the 152! :( All I need after that is the Seneca and the Mooney and I'll have them all...I just wish I hadn't lost my repaint files that I had for the Dakota and Archer....they were lost in the hack, and my originals were lost in a hard drive crash....
June 30, 201015 yr Wow! Thanks for sharing this , Frank. It works great on the Amphibian. does anyone know what parameter to adjust that will lift the wheels (front & Back) out of the tarmac? They are just slightly sunken as if sitting in muddy earth. Minor visual annoyance but she flies and takes off and lands on land and water with no problems with bounce. Steering on the ground is right on now as well. My thanks to Carenado for all their help as well.Rodger The support from Carenado is awesome.
