  1. Thanks for suggestion. Maybe that is causing my problem with plan-G. Getting all the info from the simulator but chart background is BLUE. Have used this software now for years and never a prob. with it. This blue map screen only started a week or so ago. Tried on another PC but same thing. Looks like will be trying another moving map software cheers Richard
  2. OK. I have read enough about VirtualPilot3d. Thanks for all your info Guys, Will disregard their emails and offers and keep flying FSX on my home cockpit. Thanks again cheers
  3. Hi all, Has anybody heard, seen, tried or bought a FSIM called VirtualPilot3d? I had a looksee on their Webside and was very impressed. But B4 anythng else I like to hear possible comments, good or bad, from people familiar with this particular Sim. Their web address is VirtualPilot3d.com cheers Richard
  4. Just to continue this small problem. I have gone back to v. 2.92 and all OK. Still wanting to use the updated gauges in 2.93. So Tried a few things. The last was leaving v. 2.92 on the main PC(server) and installing 2.93 on the Client(gauges). No changes in the Networking. Been flying for a few days now and all gauges responding just fine, so no stopping of a few gauges anymore. Will keep an eye on this and hope this will hopefully solve my little problem. cheers Richard
  5. Not to worry Mate, Thanks for showing interest in my questions. I just go back a version which worked just fine and I do like flying with simplugins gauges. Cheers Richard
  6. Hi OK, there seem to be no solution to my problem. I Just have to revert back to v. 2.92 Cheers Richard
  7. Thanks for come back on this, appreciated, Nope, no networking problems As mentioned, all instruments working ok at start up and during flights. But intermittently some gauges do not respond to changes during flight eg RPM not responding to increase or decrease of throttle. Clock stops running in comparison to FSX clock. Needing a restart on the second PC of the panelbuilder prog.(Operation-Start) to rectify this. NO error messages As far as my setup, nothing changed but the installation or upgrade to v.2.93 Thanks Richard
  8. Hi all, Cannot find any related topics so here goes. Used v 2.92 and no problems with instruments when flying (FSX using 2 networked PCs). After upgrade to 2.93 all looked fine but then found that some times some of the instruments eg clock, Alt,HSI and some other ones, stop working.I have to close the prog and restart to make them working again. Otherwise all working fine. Just a nuisance when some instrmnts stop working on a final (lucky it is a Sim). Hope some Guru can give me some advise. Thanks an cheers from Down Under Richard

  10. Hi Back from being away. Thanks for info re problem. will check and see and try again also re subnet. Do not want to fiddle too much with settings as my network is running just fine right now with server and client and software talking to each other. Happy flying in 2014
  11. Thanks Server and Client connected direct via cross-over cable, no router in this set-up. Both have an assigned IP address and Ping just fine so both talk to each other. Have other Progs on Client who need to communicate with the server and work fine with those assigned IP addresses. So I do not understand to set static addresses on both seeing both PCs already communicate to each other.
  12. Hi all, Sorry to but-in like this but I aloso have a problem with panel builder gauges not reacting to FSX although SimPlugin indicates connected to FSX. Set-Up is 2 PCs (Server and Client).Win7 64 on both. Have AiviaSoft EFB running on Client via SimConnect and also Plan-G via FSUIPC no problems. Client has 3 Monitors one of them is for gauges. Have left configs on both as configured on the Demo, Demo version is 2.61. Could this be related to an upgrade or network problem. Server and Client networked via Cat5 cable and Ping ok both ways. Botth have different IP address. It will be a shame if due to an unknown reason I could not use this nice program. Thanks and cheers Richard
  13. Thanks Scot, Appreciate the comment and explenation. But no matter what I picked, whether system time or not. As soon as I create a flight from a country that differs in time from my home location FSX changes the time to that country. If daylight in my home and night time where I want to create a flight from, on startup after a few seconds FSX will go to night time, that is local time of country of origin. I have tried changing things thru the Sims setup and fsx.cfg to no avail. However I have been trying things out and I might have found the culprit that is doing this. I am not sure yet but still checking things out. I might have found the culprit that keeps changing the time to the country of origins local time. I will keep on testing. Thanks anyways for you input, appreciate it. Cheers for now Richard
  14. Hi all, Since a few days ago I am unable to set a picked local time on locations I wanted to fly from. After settting the time I wanted to take off FSX returns the time to the local AP time(depending on Country). Have ticked System time in the General specs. Checked FSX.cfg and in the [sim] header time is ticked 1(Sys time). However setting it to zero does not make any diff. In my backed up cfg file system time is also on and had no problems until a few days ago. Running Win7 Ultimate. What have I done wrong or what can I do to rectify this problem. Thanks Richard
  15. Hi again, First of all thanks for the support from some on my unclear post title and waisting peoples time. As noted in my first post that I mentioned not being sure wether this was the right section and just followed the post heading already available, upper case or no upper case. How critical can one get. Hey guys, is this not supposedly to be a forum for Simmers being conducted in a friendly manner to assist in problems or questions? Or is it more important to follow the rules for 100 percent and absolutely NO mistakes? Well pardon me for the mistakes and although I have been with AVSIM and forums for 5 years, that does not mean that I follow it every second of the day and again pardon my ignorance. What is next, will people start complaining about the improper wording, spelling etc of the English language as well. Come on Guys, lets try and help instead of criticize on how to conduct a forum. If mistakes do happen, one can surely advise that individual in a proper and friendly manner without digging into histories etc. Thank you Mickel re REX and Au muchly appreciated. By the way it should read FScene4(total), still advertised on AVSIM main page. Well, enough said, hope this will be the end of this section, so thanks again all and cheers for now. Richard
