Which is better; EIRESIM Dublin 2009 or FWI Dublin Airport for FSX?

I use Eiresim version. And it is not too bad. I heard a rumor that the ground textures in the FWI version are not great, blurry I think. Cannot confirm that.

I do have FWI Canary Islands, and I am quite happy with it.

do not know whether this is the right section for my post, but the title of "Which is better" seems sort of appropriate for my question. Just installed a new HDD and installed FSX fresh including all SP's and acceleration software. All systems go as they say, including my Garmen GNS500W. One glitch though, Scenery etc are the FSX defaults.

My question is this, I have FSceneTotal, REX2 with Overdrive and ORBX FTX Aus SP3. Is installing all of them an overkill?

I know you can switch back to FSX default with FTX sp3, but what about the other two. I believe one is scenery objects and the other ground textures. But I am not sure about this. I just do not want to overload FSX with ad-ons if they represent the same things. Can anybody give me some hints here, thanks.

Without putting you down, would you be considerate towards other people in making your title next time?

 

Now hints....... Well for someone that has made 52 posts it seems amazing you would ask if this is the right place to ask your question.

 

You start a new topic (in the FSX forum) and create a new title for your question (don't use 'Which is better?' for the title), which after you post it others may read it and offer you some wise advice. Is that a good hint?

REX & AU go together nicely. It's what I use (but get the SP4 update). Don't know about FSceneTotal. Suspect if you have it under AU in the scenery list thing (that I can't remember the name of) it will improve ground textures everywhere else but leave Oz to AU. No, it's not overkill. Your own topic might have helped though.

How much time did you waste? A whole 30 seconds? I bet you wasted more time in traffic or doing something else during your day than what you did clicking on a single topic that turned out to not be of interest to you. I bet you wasted more time typing your reply to complain about wasting time than you actually did wasting time clicking on this post in the first place.

I am not obsessed with targetting people or flaming others on this forum like...some people.

 

I am here for other reasons. I try to help people. I like to participate too.

 

But if you have a problem with someone who just can't work out why people who have been on Avsim for 5 years still don't know where and how to post, then state your issue. For 5 years of being on the forums you should have read enough to know WHERE to post. This is a waste of time, some people should not be allowed on here, because they probably don't even care where they post.

LOL, post like his just burn my hide sometimes. I mean this is supposed to be a friendly place and then someone complains about wasting their time clicking on a topic that didn't suite them, then "waste" more time chastising the OP for posting it. If 30 seconds of time is that precious then made reading forums isn't such a great way to spend time in the first place.

First of all thanks for the support from some on my unclear post title and waisting peoples time.

As noted in my first post that I mentioned not being sure wether this was the right section and just followed the post heading already available, upper case or no upper case. How critical can one get.

Hey guys, is this not supposedly to be a forum for Simmers being conducted in a friendly manner to assist in problems or questions? Or is it more important to follow the rules for 100 percent and absolutely NO mistakes?

Well pardon me for the mistakes and although I have been with AVSIM and forums for 5 years, that does not mean that I follow it every second of the day and again pardon my ignorance. What is next, will people start complaining about the improper wording, spelling etc of the English language as well.

Come on Guys, lets try and help instead of criticize on how to conduct a forum.

If mistakes do happen, one can surely advise that individual in a proper and friendly manner without digging into histories etc.
