  1. Bought 2012 the day it came out. Loaded it and took off into the skys of the Pacific Northwest. Looking outside my window and see several cloud layers and all. 2010 was giving me some puffy while clouds with a lot of blue sky, and that is the picture I have had; even when 2010 gave me snow; puffy white clouds with a lot of blue with a driving snowstorm. Well this morning I did my doumb thing.Opened the 2010 manual and staretd reading. Hand another inspired moment and lookied into the program. Found a Readme.txt and did just that, read those instructons. Decided to configure everything according to what I read. I now have a very beautiful FSX screen filled with what is very close to RW looking cloud cover. Reading instructions and all is really cool. Solves a lot of problems. Remember reading somehting about that - When everything else fails read the instructions; worked for me.:)
  2. Let me ask, for my own knowledge, what are your weather settings in the FSX weather configruation utility for using the 2012 program?
  3. I uninstalled and re-installed the plane. Everything works fine now. After reading your post spotlope and seeing bstolle comment I added the highmemfix to the fsx confi file. Firing off FSX now to take a look. I have had some occasional lag with the gauges filling out.
  4. Thanks guys. I have gong through most everything. I'm going to uninatall and rsinstall from scratch. Will post the results.
  5. I don't know; is my graphics card going south. Maybe not enough ? Any suggestons would be appreciated. Only the Carenado 337 is doing this.
  6. I start it using the startup check sheet. I cal also do a startup using the "Ctrl" + "E" key; make sure you have the mixture in full rich.
  7. Hi Brian, The failures were not introduced by the Carenado as I first thought. I'm beta testing the VAFinancials new VCAS5 and Mike has added a series of maintenance fees for the planes, and along with that he programmed in some failures, one of them being the landing gear, which I had forgotten about; landing to hard to many times you end up with a big bill. The light came on and I went into VCAS5 and sure enough. The 337 landing gear was in dire need of repairs. I had to shell out 12k to get them working again.I agree it is really a great feature. There's several areas that build up maintenance costs. Everything from Avionics to the Engines.RegardsTheDcn aka Timber
  8. Fired up the 337 for the final leg into McCall ID and received a notice that my landing gear may be damaged. Looked all over the place for a repair shop but they were all closed for church or something. Up we go; after all it said "might" be damaged". Approaching McCall and setting up for landing. Gear would not go down and lock. In fact there was not indication of any move to do so. Stuck my head out to window. Nope, no landing gear out. Well greased it in on the grall along side the runway. took out two props and pulled a great seal of paint off the bottom. We will sit here until Tuesday I guess.Have not found anything in the manuals about landing gear repairs. If someone could enlighten this old virtual pilot about the Carenado landing gear repair process it surely would be appreciated. RegardsThedcn
  9. Can't wait for this beauty to come out; a very favorite of mine, and to make it even harder, on the waiting, an apparent Chartered 337 flew directly over our home to line up in final at KPEA every day last week. TimberEagle Valley Air
  10. >OK, don't forget the FSSound.dll issue. That will cause such>a failure in FS9 if you do not allow it to load. Read all>about it in the pinned thread, or your User's Manual.>>Bill Rambow>MAAM-SIM> >http://www.fssupport.com/maam/hgrsm_blkani.gifWhat's that ole saying. When everything else fails read the instructions? Forgot to move the FSSound.dll into the main FS9 folder. Thanks for your help Bill. Regards Ken Alger
  11. Thank you for your response Bill. I will dig into this a little more because the B25 was working in Vista. Don't know what happened. I have removed it from FS9 and will do a reinstall. Regards Ken Alger
  12. For some reason I cannot load the B25J anymore. I can select the plane but when I hit the "Fly" button FS9 says it cannot find the MAMM-B25J.gau. It also tells me that that I can continue on with the flight sim but will not be able to load the B25J. I cannot continue. I'm locked out and have to start the "Task Manager" to close the program. I'm operating Vista Ultimate. Any help or suggestions would really be appreciated.
