I did. It seems that the tray icon is the way to the control panel. Right click, open up the control panel and its pretty straight forward from there. I am happy with the card but it is a bit noisy with the small fan. It works very well with FSX and improved my gaming on Team Fortess 2  . -
I made a similar suggestion to the people at A2A and they said they would not due to there respect for MAAM. But now that it is know that MAAM will no longer be produce a native FSX product (and probably no Prepar3d products either) maybe things will change. I had also advocated a colaboration between these two organizations for a mutually benefitial agreement to produce a really fine DC3 which I feel would eventually become an iconic product.

Deserves it too. Here is what I understand from the news reports from interviews of people who knew him in school. He was a bully. He would take other kids backpacks and throw rocks at them. since he stood over 6 foot tall, few could or would challenge him. It really is easy to elude people in the Pacific Northwest. Anyone who has lived here knows how thick the brush can be and with the help he got from his buddies and probably from his family, he could run quite easily from the law. Yes I am slamming the kid because he was a creep and I slam those who worship him. I would like to find their houses and send a ninja /thief :( to rip off their car stereo or home and steal their computers and ipods. I would like to see Colton worshipers cry about that for a change. Oh, and have someone take their backpacks and throw rocks at them too. But then I started this thread on a less than serious note not to seek attention as one has suggested but to invoke a little levity. Sorry I failed to do that. Yes, my write skills need to be refreshed.BTW, He is going to get a lot more than salad when he's in prison. Hoping everyone loosens up a bit.

I have a theory about Colton and his ability to use a "Video Game" to learn to fly. First, they claim he is an intelligent guy but I conclude he is not because if he calls MSF a video game, then he is not intelligent. Second, If he used MSF then he probably used a version other than FSX since he never learned how to land properly. Even after stealing and landing numerous planes he still came down hard on his landing (according to news interviews from police interrogators). FSX is the real Flight Simulator to use for a VC cockpit since 2D Panels aren't very good for simulating realistic landing situations.I sit comfortably in my flame proof bunker awaiting further comment. :(

Looking for complex turbo prop or vintage airliner
rrostro replied to a topic in MS FSX | FSX-SE Forum
I love those shrieking powerful turboprops and have several. One Turboprop liner that hasn't been mentioned is the ATR 72-500 by Flight 1. I like the way it looks and handles. It is a complex build but it is very stable, even when hand flown. It also has all the auto goodies you would want from a regional airliner. My only criticism is that it is a ported over 2004 product so it has a few nuisances. I have considered the PDMG 4100 but I dont like its looks and the engine is a direct drive as opposed to a PT type of engine.I also have the Aerosoft Twin Otter and it (along with my A2A Accusim J-3) is my preferred ride. They are pure FSX builds and follow the current mode of not providing 2d panels. They do have a few pop ups to aid in such things as radio and gps management. -
Need Your Help and Advice
rrostro replied to Fall_guy's topic in System Hardware: PC | MOBO | RAM | CPU | HDD | SSD | PSU etc
Heya John,Listen, I bought a top of the line full tower Cosmos S from Coolermaster for several reasons. 1. Its got excellent cooling 2. It allows me to install the largest Graphics card available and largest cpu cooling fans available. 3. I can access the "guts" much more easily whenever I make an new install. This is no longer manufactured and it did have a few problems with it; the biggest problem being that the side panels were a bit difficult to latch properly. This was to a replacement for my much beloved but now battered Lain Li (plus It needed better cooling fans for more modern equipment and it would not accept any fan larger that 80 CM). I still consider the Lain Li the best crafted of all chassis and since it is made of aluminum, it is recyclable, but that will be a long time in the future. I have a Antec 193 in mind because of the layout of the hard drives accessibility, fan layout and a different "chamber" for the power supply that helps keep the interior cooler. Plus it has a hole cutout for that "oh so needed" CPU fan upgrade for the Overeclockiing of the CPU. But as mentioned before, we need a budget. If you need advise, browse around the Anandatech, Tom's Hardware, Hardocp, and silentpcreview.com sites. Good luck and always ready to lend a hand. OH, and if you really want to have fun, check out water cooling. -
You got to get the registered version to calibrate and set your button functions properly. Since you have the yoke already, the possibility that you will have to continue tinkering with your settings will be great. It seems that when you buy this system it is a bit of a crap shoot. There are very few that report flawless operations from the start, but it seems to me most owners do report the dreaded GHOST SWITCH. My personal experience have been a bit on the negative side. I started out with the GHOST SWITCH problem with a yoke that was off centered to the right by about 10 degrees. My present yoke is twitchy and needs recalibration every so often.OH, and if you plan to build a twin engine setup, you will need FSUIPC to set up the axis of each lever and for setup of the reversers.

Out of curiosity, why do you not like the CH quadrant? Performance? Looks? The reason I am asking is because I am a bit dissatisfied with the saitek system myself after having multiple ghost switch problems. I finally stabilized my system using FSUIP 4 but it is a pain. My yoke never is quite stable and needs recalibration every so often. Its gonna be CH products for me in the future. When I spoke to the people at one of our local pilots supply shop, they said that CH products were preferred by the pilots and I understand that the quadrant also mimics real twin engine AC more realistically.

>If you have asked for help on your yoke issue - which post I>cannot trace, but I/we may well have missed it - apologies. My request currently lies on the second page, second post after being on the first page since sept. 27.07>I am sure that if you wish to return your purchase to MAAM-SIM and delete our>software from your system, Bill Rambow will be happy to refund>you; but you, and most importantly others reading your posts,>should understand that these aircraft were not developed for>FSX. ????????? Didn't you read the first sentence of my post? And the other that said I felt that the NATS was a beauty? One reason I kept the software was to help support MAAM. I most assuredly wish to be on good terms with all of you and first name basic would be great. But, the glowing reports from AVSIM (and I think FSpilot) failed to mention such a fact. I am new to this hobby and wish to see it advance even further. I hope to see MAAMs fleet in person particularly the NATS DC 3. But now I am finding the problems associated with ported over a/c can be a real aggravation to a newbie like me. Maybe you folks are experts at gauge coding or flight characteristics or modeling but I'm not. I am a simple consumer. Take for instance the guy who originally posted this message. Not all consumers are Americans. Some don't have the best English speaking skills. What you think is a simple set of procedure is not to most. What I will convey on my report will be my experiences as a newb. As a matter of fact, I am going to compare it to the default DC3 and DC3 Airways, which I am considering joining. And I would be using my NATS RD4.I have a particular love for exceptional a/c like the DC3. It pains me to see a busted up DC3 laying on the ground by the Museum of Flight here in Seattle. It looks very wounded and if I had the money, I would buy and restore it. I feel the current state of addons are in similar jeopardy if things don't settle down with Vista/DX10/SP2/FX11.

Just an update on my comments. I checked the MAAM site and saw a number of panel some may find useful plus a large number of repaints. None though help with the Yoke problem. The only one that would have been useful would have been the DC3 airways panel but its not meant to be used by the RD4 and that is my preferred Aircraft.

here's what I see:He/she did it. (finger points this way)No, he/she did it. (finger points that way)Most companies will not admit to a problem. As a new Simmer, right now I don't care whose wrong as long as its fixed. All future purchases of FSx product and HARDWARE are on hold. I will dump all this FSX stuff if it proves too problematic and go to other entertainment. My hardware can be put to use in other areas. I am not going to buy FSXA because all I really want is DX10 and SP2. I would have bought it except for the fact that others bought it and found major defects. And that is what it appears to me....... MAJOR DEFECTS. This is a typical example of a type of product management and manufacturing referred to by the rest of the world as "READY, SHOOT! aim". I am rooted in FSX right now and anything that isn't FSX certified is not on my list to buy. I want a Guarantee that a product is going to work as advertised. I don't want excuses as to why it didn't work. FSXA is not guaranteed. We, as consumers, should demand more guarantees. We also need a Consumer Reports type of review which disregards a producers offense because their product was found to really be junky. And we should be allowed to return said POS software for a refund at the brick and mortar level. As it stands, we can't. All we can do is gripe.
