I find them way to skittish to hand fly.

What it says really. I was on the GS to do a full auto-land at KLAS (25R) and my speed was set in the speed window at VREF+5.Then the speed slowly dropped off to about 100kts and the aircraft stalled. Luckily I managed to recover and land safely. LAND3 was active at the time and all other functions seemed normal. I've checked all the obvious things like was the A/T and A/P on and all was set up exactly as it always is. I was landing into a diagonal x-wind of about 8kts, so no drama there. The only remedial action I took was that I clicked the speed button off then on again and moved the speed dial up and down a bit then back to VREF+5. The speed then crept slowly back up to VREF+5. I have done countless approaches like this in the 737 (and other Boeings) and this has never happened before. So, what did happen?? I am at a loss to know why my A/S dropped of like that.PS No I can't travel back in time to get a screenshot. Sorry.

The tooltip on the trim wheel comes and goes. I don't know why.

That's exactly the route I flew last night even down to the landing runway. I used flight aware. You just need to check where the STAR begins.Hey everyone! I have a question:I can sucessfully complete the tutorial flight, but I do not know how to do any other routes. For Example: I don't know how to fly from KLAS to KLAX and finish in an ILS into runway 24L. Does anyone recommend a website I can find out the best route with all the information such as SIDS, STARS, and the correct waypoints? Thanks to much!!! -
I've been away for ages so bear with me. So currently LINDA is the only option for running the Vrinsight MCP on the NGX?
-
I didn't state that VATSIM is the issue. I said it's FSInn 'server' "E.G. (=for example) VATSIM" weather. No VATSIM is not the issue. It is FSInn that is the issue. -
Thanks, will take your advice.
-
It's only FSInn 'server' weather (e.g. VATSIM) that causes the temperature inversion problem above FL240 (i.e. reading +44 degree when it should be -44). All other weather should be fine, Active Sky, FSX Real World, REX etc.
-
Sorry to resurrect this one but it's a while since I've flown. I have followed the manual to the letter however the aircraft porpoised and oscillated through the entire climb to FL340. That was with a wind on the nose of about 11kts. Ideas? I don't have the full version of FSUIPC so 'weather smoothing' isn't an option for me.

If you can do that and be humble about it at your age then you have a good future ahead of you mate. Don't mean to sound patronising but you know what I mean. Clear skies dude.
-
Having seen both your present and pre edited post, I have to say, 'that's better.' Better to find a sense of humour in these things sometimes!
-
There's a manual???You haven't read even part of the manual have you? -
Only when I press the right buttons! Sometimes I'm just too drunk to remember the procedure....Dude, you auto land all the time -
Yeah join the club mate. I haven't found a solution yet.
-
The trouble is even though people come here to talk about NGX, there are so many self-appointed moderators here that wind up more casual simmers (who are also paying customers I might add) people like me then find it irresistible to take the p*** out of them. I think a 'general chat' option would be a good idea too. So +1 from me.

It's 25% is it? Oops, I've been flicking at 20, doesn't seem to make any odds though.
-
It's in the sig, not using a hotfix yet.
-
I always auto-land because I'm so ###### by the time I arrive.
-
Well I like a joke as much as the next man...but when it comes to the NGX it's no laughing matter! I mean, what is it with these so called 'normal' people who say they don't have time to read the manual? Or even time to put their 'real' name under their posts? Who are they kidding? Anyone who raises even a smirk at that video is UNWORTHY of the hallowed NGX! I personally locked myself in my bedroom for a week when it came out, pretending I was a real 737 pilot of course, with my mum bringing me bowls of sugar puffs three times a day. I also lit incense sticks twice a day as an offering to the PMDG shrine I keep in the corner of the room, where I keep a list of all the times I have 'won' on the Internet by pointing out someone wasn't as much of a geek as I am. I also cut myself repeatedly to remind myself of the pain of the ignorance felt by those less enlightened than me. LLZ/DME approaches? Getting the brakes to work? Hand flying from Heathrow to Sydney? IT'S BASIC STUFF PEOPLE! Do some reading. I know I did. Didn't I?
-
If I brake at all after landing the brakes (except the parking brake) cease working completely. It's annoying.
-
Those pictures are brilliant, you have to look twice at the first one, looks real.

What it says really. Tonight I loaded the 'short' panel state and on climb out the oxygen masks deployed and I was getting failure messages on the FMC.

Holding menu works for me, I know it's kind of obvious are you slipping off the key perhaps? Is it docked or undocked? Try both.
Brain teaser: Anyone had problems maintaining A/S on APP to KLAS?

Thanks James, I'm inclined to think it might have been a weather issue more so than hardware as I don't have any of that modelled. I was using 'cold fronts' standard FSX weather as I just fancied a quick trip from KSFO to KLAS.
