I'm almost ready for pushback, then FSX switches to the desktop and tells me Active sky has stopped working. I try reopening AS, but it stops working immediately. I also have REX ess. and Opus installed, but neither is working. Rex is stopping right away and Opus just gives me an error message (See att.). I have rebooted my computer, reinstalled AS, REX and Opus. But stil the same.... I have not installed anything or done any changes to my computer that may cause this, it had been working fine all day.. Thor

Well, long story short, I now have the items in the list above up and running. And it feels and sounds fantastic! Just setting up Windows and everything now.For overclocking, I have done some googeling and find a looooot of information and a looooot of different settings and opinions... Thanks for the kind and professional replies :)My 5200+ is running at 3.1GHz with a Corsair H60 water cooler. On average I usually get 15-20 fps with the NGX, sliders midway up, 0 AI traffic and ground vehicles. I can live with that.I have absolutely no experience with Intel so far. All my rigs has been AMD, since the first PC i built over 10 yrs ago. But I'm open to change that, since Intel can perform so much better in FSX.Anyway, I have a bunch of PPL hours to gather now before I commence my CPL this year. So upgrading to Intel, new mb, new RAM, new PSU etc... might be out of my budget for a long while :S But that's another story. So spending a few bucks on a CPU upgarde now is kinda the only option, either that or nothing.Thor

I'm thinking about replacing my old AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ CPU.My options are:AMD Phenom II X6 1055T 2.8GHz/3.3GHz Socket-AM3 Six-core.orAMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4GHz Quad-core. Target [email protected] looks like the latter is pretty much outdated from the market, so might be hard to get a hold of one. But I was thinking, since FSX is the only "game" for me, that performance with the quad-core and higher clockspeed will give a better result. So, do I really ned six cores with a lower clockspeed? I cannot afford a new mb, so looks like these two CPUs is the only choice.System:MOB: ASUS M3N78-VM, 4GB DDR2 RAM, Nvidia Geforce GTX560 TI graphic card.Thanks for any advice!Thor Kongsteien

Also, same here. Think that is a common FSX issue. Try hitting Q twise, works for me.

Same here! Though I use one monitor for main 2D panel and another for overhead and FMC. Have all sounds working fine in the main panel, but once clicking in the second monitor all sound is gone. Thorbjørn

Thats right. Everything in Windows will be set to English. My Computer, My Documents, Shut Down, etc. I had Win 7 Pro Norwegian. I installed English-US using Vistalizator, worked fine, no problems.So it's up to you if you want to change away your Italian Windows to use FS2Crew ;) I reccomend it though!Thor

BTW, Problem solved. I had to run FSX with "Run as administrator" for the Maddog to work. So if anyone else have problems like that, try to open FSX with "Run as administrator" option.Thor

Thats a negative.But I wont be using FS9 so much anymore now. The only reason that I used FS9 was because of the Maddog 2008 not working in FSX, only got CTD. But I sorted that out and it's working in FSX again. Had to run FSX with "Run as administrator" in Win7, problem solved. And ASE is working with FSX :)Thanks anyway :)Thor

FS9 is running FSUIPC registered and FS9 is connected to WideClient. All settings in FSUIPC is set to default, no changes made. Thor

FS9 was running on server. This was just a short retry to create a fresh log. It was not any different from the other times where it had been running for a longer time.I have attached a longer log. This time I had installed Xgauge. FS9 was running on the server and FSclient was connected. Xgauge did recieve data from ASE, but still no weather change in FS..Thor

No, it says WideServer: 1 connectedAnd ASE has the correct Appdata/FS9 and main FS9 folder. The folders are also shared with full permissions, I can write files to these folders.Thor
