How do I get the FO to change the mcp numbers or apply changes to the FMC. Example, to change flight level from 10000 to 20000 do I do say set flight level. Any help will be appreciated. RegardsJackie

Runs well for me clocked at 3.8 its an improvement from my q66 for sure. For the price it is not a bad chip.

Yea Tom the dll? fix that Ryan suggested. It is a shame that you can't get the cockpit sounds but if this works for everyone then at least they can work on a solution.

Well after a 4hr flight for me I was able fly and watch my replay without a black screen or any distortion. I also went in and out of the menu. I use onboard audio no sound card for me. All other sound is gone in regards to the altitude count down but was able to watch the replay and pretty much do anything in the game without any sort of corruption. I also may add that i flew into FSDreamteams LSGG airport. Will continue testing but I think the sound fix has solved the porblem for me at least.

I have tried the sound.dll suggestion and I have so far not experienced the texture corruption after switching between full screen and window mode. I am in the process of doing a longer flight and will try today reviewing my replay of the landing. My system is an ATI 4870 512 , Asus M4A79XTD EVO Phenom 2 965 at 3.8 and 4gig onboard memory.

Well the only two things I know that have solved this problem is lowering the sound quality and flying with DX10 preview enabled. I for one have contacted Asus and VIA to see if I can get drivers to enable lower sound quality and no luck. I can fly long hauls but I dare not try to watch the replay as this is where my corruption occurs.

Hey Ryan in regards to your video card, do you have texture load problems with the 747-8. When ever i switch views say from being in the cockpit for about 5mins the textures of the aircraft at least for me always take sometime to load. Have you experienced it ?

Yea Realtek is chipset to get. Any suggestions on what sound card to utilize ?

Hello, I recently purchased a new motherboard an AsusM4a79XTD EVO. However it comes with a via hd audio and this does not allow me to lower my sound quality lower than cd quality. Any ideas on what I can do to overcome this issue. I have tried to use various drivers from VIA but no luck.RegardsJackie

Daryl now that sounds like a solution. This may explain why when Dx10 is enabled the black screen does not happen. Hope this is the fix.

Hey guys completed my long flight and I tried eveything to duplicate the problem and so far so good. I was able to watch the replay no problem. My next test would be to fly into Fsdreamteam's JFK scenery and see how it responds.

Hey Jay, I have the same setup as you so per your instructions I was able to locate my audio settings and change them. I have also lowered my cloud setting in FEX from the 4096 to 1024 and so far so good. I am still to do a long flight and leave the sim on overnight as then try to access the menu or land and then try to replay as this is when I get my black screen or video corruption. Will provide more information after a KLAX-YSSY runJackie

I agree Jay, I tested with an older ATI driver today long flight from RJTT to YBBN and was successful at viewing the replay and switching modes. It's such a hit an miss issue but as you said something's gotta give. Jackie

I do not use the Rex weather engine but I use the sky and runway textures. I use FEX for the clouds. Jackie

Sad to say the issue still exist for me. Damm I really thought I had it fixed. I flew to long flights and was able to go in an out of menu's without a problem. It occured when during my replay of landing at JFK fsdreamteam's scenery. Jackie

Hey Tim, I am stumped, do you have 7.1 surrond sound. If so try disabling it. I am still testing mine and hope that it was not a fluke last night. I now have my sound setup as just 2 forward speakers and a woofer. Worth a shot Jackie
