HiSince the update I still have no TCAS????Any suggestions ???I was reading on the forum that the XML.DLL may have changed when the update was installed???anyone else have this prob ???Any help would be greatThanks

I dont understand it, it worked 100% before the update, done FSUIPC turned it off.When at departure, I set the route into ACTSK X, temp 19deg, take off, the min the plane starts its climb, 20, 21 22 23 upto 40deg, shut down ASX, restart works fine, half way into landing it goes crazy again, -31C then +35, and as you can appreciate the speeds and descent rates are all over the place.How else can I help with the info you require????I will try running again with the a default FSX plane, but I always do use PMDG 747, and yes I have reset FSUIPC.DO you want some screen shots or the front ASX screen posted ??Thanks for looking

I have now carried out four flights, long haul and LNAV, VNAV, THR REF have worked 100%. Even with saved flights before the update it works 100%Is this problem anything to do with C++ service packs??? at the end of my update, a message came up saying go get the C++ red, updates???thought I would ask.Just no TCAS....SPECSFSX SP1+2, Activesky X, FSINN, Vroute, FSbuild, Jeppesen sim charts, Vatspy, activesky graphics.4 GB memIntel dual core 2.6GHZ2 X 300Gb sata drives2 X 400GB sata drivesASUS 9800GTX graphics cardSaitek rudder pedalssaitek double throttle quadSaitek flight yoke

thanks for the reply, having been using your simulator for some months now and I dont fly any other plane except the 747, I am fully conversant with the TCAS function, which was working 100% until the update, I will read through your section again, but I have just carried out a flight and no TCAS, with it set correctly, but will double check. I'm not complaining by the way, just informing you.May I take this opportunity to say thanks for creating a wonderful simulation of the 747, your simulator is amazing, I guess you hear alot of complaints on here, but I can honestly say I think it is the best simulator I have ever used. well I just loaded a flight in never done before, EGFF to EGLL VNAV LNAV THR ref all worked 100%, VNAV didnt drop out at all.Strange....

is there any solution to this ????Have the same problem now I updated.

no its become very unstabel since the update, it was fine until then.Now it frequently adjust temps on its own, it seems to be as the AC is entering different sectors. the outside temp will go from -11 to 37 then I have to exit actsky, which then crashes fsx.Now done the same flight agian EGLL to KJFK and it worked fine, so it pretty strange.

hiI just carried out a flight from EGLL to KJFK. I got within 200nm of JFK and the outside temp turned from -11 to +34, what the ####.Going back to FSMETEO, that worked fine, so did activesky until the update.

Ok thanks. I do have RC and never get to fly STAR, its always down to ATC, which is good. many thanks, is VATSIM stand alone, or is it network/internet based only??

Yeah got it thanks for that, will do the Lessons to learn more, is there any other tests etc for this, they are talking about using FLCH from the little I read, but I was refering to VNAV, I downloaded the Type ratings from PMDG. But do you guys test yourselves with any other type course ??I have done a few hours lately from EGLL to KSFO, been across and back now twenty times :-) as it is in the Itvv DVD, and I have learnt loads from watching Cpt Alan Carter, I might buy that Cathay 747 400 DVD too. The problem with this, the more you learn the more you got to know, I have been spending ages watching the DVD and reading about it. Great simulation, short of getting in the real plane and flying it. Rgds

HiBeen using the 747 now its working and its fantastic. On the Virgin 747-400 DVD I have (itvv) I noticed the PFD changes from SPD or THR ref to Idle.So my question, I have looked through the manual but couldnt find Idle in it. I am not sure if I am missing something on the FMC on descent, I have been using VNAV on approach, and descent, and only get Vnav spd or the ref.Is idle built into PMDG 747??Rgds

yeah I think it was the key settings/keyboard commands, it sent my FSX and PMDG crazy.Couldnt set any commands in FSUIPC, and none of key commands would stay, everytime I reloaded they were gone, the clip below is from Peter Dowsons forum, its not a great thread as I got pretty upset in it.quote ok many thanks Peterheres what I have done.1) removed all FSX software, FSX deluxe and Acceleration 2) removed all addons, PMDG, FSUIPC, active sky, fs2crew etc (late night )3) reinstalled FSX deluxe only4) reinstalled PMDG, FSUIPC etc5) reassigned my buttons6) everything now works fine. restarted FSX all works, buttons stayed cool So I am assuming that either FS2Crew was causing my problem or Acceleration was.
