  1. Hi guys You may think me sad :( but I have clocked some good hours in this plane now, and I really enjoy it, I fly nothing else, even after quite a long time and some 250+ flying hours later I am still learning stuff I never knew B) . Even though I do have the MD11 which is dusty in the hangar right now :( I just cant learn another detailed plane just yet. On the PMDG 744x, when you pull the start switch you dont get duct pressure turning the engine or simulating turning, my question is was this ever simulated on the model? if not no probs no big deal. Perhaps I have spent too long on it and looking at even greater detail than I was before :( . Congrats on your sims PMDG, you must have spent so many hours to get the detail you have recreated in your planes, nice work from a happy customer.Paul Harvey

  2. As a side note, the assertion error is something that the team at SB knows about, and are apparently working on a fix. It has been noted that not using SB in module mode (as an application accessible within FS) has not caused these errors to appear. If you continue to use the module mode and get the errors, select IGNORE on the dialog box that appears and you should be OK.
you gota love soft and hardware :(

  3. Me againOk, flew from HECA to EGLL, had atleast 5 occasions where the plane was over the bank limit due to wind, wind was fairly stable but it has really had a bad effect on my PMDG 744x. I tried various settings as suggested, i.e. turning stuff in FSUIPC on/off, and adjusting the settings in ASA. The WCM mode seemed to help alot, but didnt cure the problem.I got just over an hour of trouble free flight, then back came the wind problem and the 744x is chasing the navigation line on the ND, and I mean swaying from one side to the other. But the good news is temperatures stayed pretty good, no rapid descent apart from the knife edge turns, so thats a big step forward, just the wind element guys that need urgent attention.Since the update strangely SQB4 also worked 100% weird hey!!Can I provide you guys with any more information or logs from my machine please let me know I am happy to help and provide any info I may have.RgdsPaul Harvey

  4. Another loyal user reporting re latest beta: windshifts much better, encountered none since release, but temps are still wrong. Had +48C at FL380 over VHHH and lets just say it would have cost me my license in real life. :)
HAHA, yep just had that a while ago too, FL340 -29 +20, but have turned off some settings in FSUIPC and so far so good, but along way to go yet.

  5. Hi Paul,Sorry for the problems. Are you running B394 of ASA? The purchased Build is 314. Many of these things have been worked on.We really don't interact with SB4 so I can't speak on that error. Thanks!
HiYeah its out of date I am running 316 build, phew!!! I looked on the hifi website but cant find B394? I take its the link above with the sticky on it for DownloadMany thanks for the quick reply as normal from you guysRgdsPaul

  6. Hi GuysLike the title says, had this problem on ASX, but an update corrected the faults, upgraded to ASA last week, now the old problems are back, I see from the varied posts that this is a known fault. :( Problem 1: FL340 temp -19c (works great) 2nm later +48c aircraft plummets towards earth 17000 ft a min, :( :( Problem 2: FL340 wind, new area/download of weather, wind moves from 210 to 270 degrees and back continuously, wind speed 10 to 95 also continuous again plane uncontrollable and this time overturned. Any news on patches or updates for ASA, I will go back to ASX for now until you guys update. My systemPMDG 744x, FSX SP 1,2 FSX accelerator, Squawk box 4, ASX (replaced by ASA) Had all been running fine until ASA. I am also getting a C++ error from squawk box since installing ASA, assertion error, could this be ASA related ???Rgds Paul Harvey

  7. Hi Many thanks for trying that, its really strange. I just carried out a flight using ASX that I used FSmeteo on yesterday. LSGG to EGLL no problems with ASX or FSMETEO. I dont understand what the #### is going on, is it old stored files or panel configs. I really dont understand, I'm not 100% into FSX workings. I will continue using ASX which was 100% stable this time, it always seems when I leave base EGLL it all goes funny, I have Aerosoft heathrow 2008, but dont see that as having any bearing. So why would loading a previous saved flight affect ASX....Should I delete my EGLL saved flights and start again ???Any advice would be great, as I am lost. But I am sure its to do with loading and leaving EGLL.Many thanks again

  8. HiJust reinstalled FSMETEO, and flew EGLL to EDDF no problems in temps at all, all normal. I just bought lvld's 767 and flew last night using ASX temps climbed the same as the plane, i.e 15deg C on the ground at FL180 +26deg C FL260 +34deg C. Done the same flight using FSMETEO no probs, -15deg C @ FL260.can I get ASX back to its original state before SP3????? or can I reinstall it and use SP2 only ?? Not sure I still have the original install file now, can I re-download that to try again ??Please advise as this is so irritating. Does the same with PMDG 747, and default MS planes. I have WinXPThanks

  9. hehe, no the temp changes everytime ASX hits a new weather station, but its not a subtle change, but an instant drop or climb, so @ 330000 I may have -11, then for no reason apart from ASX updating itself, +3 or what ever, plane plummits like a stone, overspeed etc.I will post back when I have done what you guys have said.Get me a drink too, whiskey taThanks

  11. its same offline, makes no difference if I go online or off line, FSINN was causing this problem, until I disabled it and used ASX,then I have quite happily used ASX for two to three months now no probs, until the service pack/update. I will look into it some more, I am very cautious about deleting things attached to FSX as I have had major problems getting it to work with all the addons, which it now does. ASX seems stable until it locks to the next weather station on route, and the change in temp is huge. If I run it without entering the flight plan it does seem ok. Weird hey...I have been in deleted all temp/config files for ASX, which did cure the problem for three or four long haul flights, but then returned again. Will try Jims recommendations, I did post on Peter Downsons site also, and some others have also posted the same fault as me.Thanks guys, will try and remove a few things and see what happens.rgdsPaul

  12. >Joe->>What changes did you make in terms of your installation, or>what did you do differently when this this started to operate>normally?>>FAULT: Everytime I pushed the Vnav button it would go white in the PFD and disappear again, would not come on or start. When VNAV didnt work, I changed the data in the FMC by hand and set the speed and FL, after that it worked 100%, hasnt failed once since, and no matter what flight I fly it works, I think the level set in the FMC wasnt right when VNAV wouldnt stay on, there was conflict between the MCP and the level set in it i.e. 6000 for the SID I was carrying out and the FMC was reading 3000, so I manually entered 6000 into the FMC and it worked 100% Vnav has stayed on 100%, and I only done this the once, and since then its worked. Maybe worth checking the level in the MCP and the level set in FMC. Not sure this will help anyone but I did nothing else. Maybe go back to basics and check speed and height are correct. I have used this plane for months now and have read inside out all about it. I can also reload any old flights and they work. If the guys at PMDG have made things more accurate then maybe we as pilots need to double check our settings???? Dont mean to sound like an ####... but that was my problem. Not their fault...Its a user error, I honestly cant remember 100% what I did, but it wasnt a bug.... if it was I would still have the same problem now..Can I post any logs that may help others ???? Let me know if you guys @ PMDG need any of my files emailed, be happy to try and help, its a great sim....

  13.
