Has anyone ever tried to tweak add-on AI aircraft to act like default aircraft? Specifically, I mean like the way the cargo doors work on default AI aircraft right before departure of the plane. If you ever watch the default AI aircraft, right before they depart, the cargo doors open, luggage trucks pull up then leave, cargo doors close and the AI aircraft pushes back. I notice many AI aircraft lights come on prior to the aircraft departing, but have never seen any other functions such as doors opening and closing. Does anyone know where this behavior is modeled? I've tried looking through the SDK, but cannot find anyplace where it instructs on how to control functions of an AI aircraft prior to push back from a gate.

Hi Tom. Running out of memory might be the issue, but that would be a surprise to me. I am running 4GB of RAM on my machine. Plus the issue is that FSX does not even load when the Project Airbus plane is one of he AI at the airport I am trying to load. In any case, I will check out the potential memory issue.

Anyone encountering a problem using the Project Airbus A319 as AI in FSX? I've isolated the problem to the MDL file, but can't seem to find a fix. I am using the MDL that is supposed to work with FSX. Doing so, I can fly the A319, but can't use the same MDL file for my AI aircraft. Whenever FSX tries to load the Project Airbus A319 as an AI, it crashes.Anyone have any ideas how I might be able to fix this?

I am wondering if anyone else is running into this problem with the latest version of ADE. Whenever I make changes to an airport and then compile, the compile fails. The only way for me to get around the error is to delete the boundary fence. Regardless of the change or the airport, the boundary fence causes a compile failure. Is anyone else experiencing this?

If>there is a way to adjust the fuel consumption in the model, I>would be glad to know.I think the Lufthansa flights you are referring to are the Business Class only service which can make the flight from New York to Germany due to a smaller number of passengers and lower payload.In my example, American uses a regularly configured passenger 737-800 to fly from Los Angeles to Miami and back. I don't think a regularly configured 737-800 with full payload would be able to fly nonstop from New York to Germany.

This is a question for the real pilots out there. I was flying the 737-800 in FSX on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles. I noticed that from my fuel consumption, I was not going to make it to Los Angeles with the fuel I had remaining.I know that American Airlines flies the 737-800 on the Miami-Los Angeles route so it does have the range to make the flight. My plane was fully loaded and I was flying at FL320. My question is can a fully loaded 737-800 make it from MIA to LAX or is AA flying the plane with less than a full load? Or are they flying at a higher flight level which is more fuel efficient or do I just have lousy flying skills?

I know I am way behind the times with this question. I am looking for a way to convert my FS8 traffic file into FSX format. Do I need to convert my FS8 file to FS9 and then FSX? If so, how do I do that? I have an extensive custom created FS8 traffic file which I have created over several years and would hate to find out it is unusable in FSX.I skipped FS9 so don't have that program on my desktop. I am hoping there is a way to go from FS8 to FSX without having FS9. I have searched several posts and see a way to convert from FS9 to FSX, but not sure what utility to use if I am starting with an FS8 traffic file.Thanks for your help!

Has anyone had any issues with using GPS navigation on the 737-800? I am an experienced simmer since FS2002 and I can't seem to get my 738 to follow the navigation inputs from the GPS.I file a flight plan.At cruise, I click the Nav/GPS swith to GPS.I turn off the heading hold.I make sure that OBS does not show SUSP to ensure the GPS is automatically searching for the next waypoint.The result:My plane just starts to circle the current waypoint.What am I missing? I've had no issues with the GPS in FS2002. This one has me stumped.
